Careema is a beautifully renovated property having been given an extensive refurbishment during 2019, including a brand new kitchen and new decor throughout. The open plan living area and balcony beyond has majestic views from the Idle Rocks and Summers Beach to Place Manor and the harbour. If the plan for your holiday is relaxation then try sitting on the balcony with a glass of wine watching the bustle of a busy village harbour, little blue passenger ferries heading over to Falmouth and the sound of waves lapping against the harbour wall. St Mawes is one of Cornwall's most desirable holiday destinations and the stunning harbour surrounded by lovely local shops, restaurants, bars and hotels is a constant bustle of vibrancy during the season. There is a never ending variety of boating to keep the view changing - kayaks paddling out of the harbour, regular ferry passenger services to Falmouth and other destinations up the Fal estuary, the constant bustle of sailing boats, both large and small, and shipping movements further out to sea will keep all amused. During the winter it is a quiet, peaceful village that rarely sees frosts or snow. Accommodation Second Floor: Enter into a hallway with boot rack and clothes pegs with doors to: WC with hand basin. Family shower room with WC and hand basin. Bunk bedroom with separate single bed and chest of drawers and wardrobe. Master bedroom with 6' bed, storage, fantastic sea views of the harbour, en suite bathroom with shower over the bath, WC and hand basin. Twin bedroom with two 3' beds and storage. Open plan living room with comfortable sofas, flat screen digital Smart TV, door to balcony, dining area with table and seating, kitchen area with fully fitted units and appliances. Exterior: Balcony to the front of the property with chairs. Access to the front door through the patio of the downstairs apartment and then up a flight of external stairs. Facilities & Services There is an electric central heating system with panel heaters. There is a large flatscreen smart TV with Freeview, Netflix, BT Sport and DVD player in the lounge. The fully fitted kitchen has an electric oven and hob, fridge / freezer, microwave, kettle and a toaster. There is a washing machine and both a drying cupboard and external drying line (ideal for wetsuits). There is a dishwasher. There is an iron and ironing board. There is a cot and high chair. Miscellaneous Electricity, heating, bed linen and towels are all included, but you will need to bring your own beach towels. As with a lot of properties in St Mawes, there is no dedicated parking space; however the main public car park is only 150m away. Unfortunately dogs are not accepted at Careema. Smoking is not permitted at the property. Unlimited WiFi is available at the property. General Booking Information Arrival/departure is on a Saturday. Short breaks are available during quieter periods. £300 pre-authorised to your credit or debit card as a security deposit is required.
