2 Highfield House is part of an 1860 house located close to the Derbyshire Peak District, with Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall not far way. It is surrounded by Oakerthrope Nature Reserve and is perfect for those wanting to explore the Derbyshire Countryside. Please note that the owners live next door and there are friendly cats and a dog that live on the property. *please note hire of a hot tub can be arranged at an additional cost. - please enquire prior to booking due to availability. We live next door and will provide guests with our phone number on request should you have any issues or queries. Highfield House is located just off the A38 making it easy to access by car, it is surrounded by woodland and lovely local walks and wildlife. Highfield House is located near Alfreton Train station. But we would recommend having a vehicle available as public transport is limited and the area is rural. On request we can provide extra details to make your stay that little bit more special. Such as; Cream teas - home baked Aga cakes, scones, jam and cream . £15 for 2. Don’t fancy cooking on arrival? Why not order a home cooked meal? (to heat up) a choice of - 2 courses £15 per person. - lamb stew with Dauphinois potatoes and seasonal vegetables. - Chicken stew with dumplings and seasonal vegetables. Occasion extras. - flowers, wine, chocolate, balloons. (Please specify which you would like and these will be available on arrival- price on application)
