Beachfront Villas sit on an immaculate 1/2 acre oceanfront lot in the eastern-facing shoreline town of Waimanalo, at the very end in an area called "Pa Honu" by locals. Refreshing ocean air, having traveled across thousands of miles of open Pacific Ocean, meets the majestic Ko’olau Mountain Range here, creating a sense of wonder & serenity respected by both locals & tourists alike. We are a 1/4 mile from the famous Magnum P.I. house & Pa Honu Hawaiian Fish Pond! Sometimes, Hawai'i 5-0 Films on Location at our Property :D Historically, this land was preserved by the ancients for their revered indigenous crops like lo’i kalo (taro), ‘ulu (breadfruit), niu (coconut) & ‘awapuhi (ginger flowers), as well for the hand-constructed fish ponds. Pahonu; which means “turtle enclosure” in Hawaiian is only a 5 minute walk down the beach, can still be seen today in full beauty. True to it’s name, this Hawaiian fish pond was utilized to house live honu or “sea turtles” reserved only for consumption by the ali’i or chiefs of Old Hawai’i. Today, the stretch of pristine beach between Pahonu fish pond & the last remaining private pier along the six miles stretching from Lanikai to Makapu’u still retains it’s incredible mana or “positive energy.” When guests arrive to experience our property for themselves, they immediately settle into the laid back feel of the aina or “land” & state that they feel as if they can reach out & touch both the natural barrier reef & mountain summits from their comfortable home away from home accommodations. The Beachfront Villa Homes; Makapu’u Hale, Honu Cottage & Nalo Hale have been built & maintained with purpose & care. Owner Mike comes from 6 generations born in Hawai’i & frequents the property to preserve it’s gardens as well as share his passion for sailing on his canoe, “Pa Honu.” Every tree, bush & flower have been planted with purpose including the numerous Native Hawaiian ginger, naupaka (half-flower) & coconut trees. Even the interior of the homes have accents of breadfruit & taro designs in honor of the land’s colorful history. When you come & experience our country homes by the sea, we guarantee that you will feel rejuvenated & at peace. Your ohana or “family” will enjoy one of the best snorkeling experiences O’ahu has to offer, witness numerous sea turtle sitings, embrace our luxurious amenities including hammocks, swings & hot tubs as well as embrace the natural simplicity that Waimanalo Beach has to offer. We look forward to your visit! We recommend you rent a car / van as we are in the country (but still close to the conveniences of the city)...
