New Lodge Fantastic base to explore the New Forest

This brand new spacious and luxury Lakewood Lodge (“Deer Glade”), with a large veranda and parking for two cars, is located on the edge of the stunning New Forest, set within the 5* modern Green Hill Farm Holiday Village. A peaceful hidden treasure, Deer Glade Lodge has all the home from home comforts you would expect from a high end luxury lodge. A Perfect location for couples or families to enjoy the tranquility of the Forest, fishing in the lake, walking or cycling. Imagine waking up in the beautiful woodlands in a peaceful location, where wildlife, such as deer are often seen roaming free!! Deer Glade Lodge is located on a modern holiday park, with fantastic facilities. Access the park via a secured barrier entry system. Cast into a fishing lake to fish or stroll by the two wildlife lakes and step into the forest to connect with nature and spend quality time with loved ones. Please note: there is an unfenced lake in the grounds. The park is not over crowded, has the friendliest staff and the most delicious homemade pizzas! You’ll find yourself easily making friends at the Ember cafe, whilst your children play on the large play area, within eyesight. There is ample seating with umbrellas for shade. The outdoor communal fire pit is a hit for adults and children to cosy around and toast giant marshmallows. The location of the park is great for heading to local attractions, such as the Lavender Tea Rooms, or some delightful local New Forest pubs! See our ‘Guide Book’ for recommendations. It’s very easy to get to from any direction and you’ll be amazed when in the park at the beauty that surrounds you. There is a gated access that leads right onto the New Forest. It’s literally a 5 minute walk from the Lodge!! There is a little on site shop that sells the nicest fresh local produce! My children love to walk there and get fresh bread, they feel grown up and excited! The activities for children are fantastic!! There are small charges to pay the park directly and you’ll need to book at reception. The staff are so helpful and friendly and you’ll feel looked after. There is not currently a washing machine in the Lodge (will be soon), but there is a laundry room on site, with both washers and dryers. What do we love about it? Well, quite simply it’s so relaxing, a peaceful location and we could quite happily live there! A morning run (if you’re up for that), is great around the park and fishing lakes and straight out onto the forest, or make use of the free outdoor gym. We like to sit on the veranda where you can see one of the lakes, play games, chat, eat and listen to the birds singing. Time spent together is precious and at Deer Glade you’ll be able to just kick back and relax. The reception (with shop) will however be open all year round (aside from Christmas Day and New Year's Day). The Lodge The all mod cons kitchen boasts a delight to cook in! With its spacious open plan kitchen/dining and living area that overlooks the large veranda, it is perfect for cooking whilst staying connected. The kitchen has a large fridge, with freezer, so you can stock up on any meals you wish to cook (or fill it with wine/beer- you decide). The second bedroom has two single beds, two wardrobes and plenty of space under the bed for storage (or hide and seek)! There is a sofa bed in the lounge that is suitable for one adult (less than 6ft tall) or two small children, under the age of 10. Additional guests (once 4 guests exceeded) are charged at £15 pppn. You can hire a travel cot direct from the park. This will fit in the master bedroom. Please contact us if you wish to bring your own travel cot, as depending on the dimensions, it may not fit. We truly want you to have the most amazing stay! We live just 30 minutes away from the Lodge, so in the event of an emergency, we can be available to come and meet you. Otherwise, we will leave you to relax, have fun and enjoy your stay. The location is simply stunning! The walks around the park itself are lovely, but you can walk straight out onto the New Forest, where you will see horses, cows and pigs. Very often the deer can be seen around the park. There are also some fantastic cycling trails. On the fishing lakes there are geese and ducks, that are beautiful to see, especially for the children! A short drive or bike ride away and you can be at one of many New Forest pub's. We have set out in our welcome pack those pubs that are family friendly and those where you may just want a quiet drink or a meal. If you are looking to head out for dinner, the very well regarded Les Mirabel restaurant is a little over a mile away (early booking is advised) or a more traditional village Inn, The Lamb Inn, is also just over a mile away. The New Forest Lavender Tea Rooms is literally a 3 minute drive and is beautiful!! They serve cream teas, scones and cakes. Activities The award winning Paulton's Park (home to Peppa Pig) is 5 miles away. Romsey Rapids is 8 miles away. Go Ape at Moors Valley (for anyone who likes to climb)! Places to visit Furzey Gardens- A beautiful community garden, with secret hidden fairy doors and a lovely cafe is a great day out. Stonehenge- A prehistoric monument on Salisbury Plain is worth a visit Salisbury Cathedral- The tallest spire in the county! Beaulieu- home to the Motor Museum and the `World of Top Gear'. Whether you are travelling on foot, bike or car, there are some simply breathtaking views of the New Forest.
