We have 5 luxurious double or twin en-suite bedrooms, all with tea-making facilities, high quality beds and lovely goose down duvets and pillows (hypo-allergenic duvets available upon request). All rooms have bath robes, sewing kits and toiletries. There is a shared lounge for the sole use of guests and breakfast is served at our 300 year old round oak table. Guests can explore the farm at their leisure and can hire the wood burning hot tub, sauna and BBQ hut leisure suite during their stay. John and Fiona rebuilt Knockaloe Beg Farmhouse in 2007 and now enjoy living in this eco-friendly house , along with many different guests throughout the year. As a newly built house it has all the conveniences of being warm and cozy, yet seeming to have been there for hundreds of years. It has a traditional style, with fantastic beds, pure Egyptian cotton bedding, home produce wherever possible (great eggs from their chickens and bacon and sausages from their rare breed pigs). A great place to explore the Island from in all seasons, with fantastic walking, historical sites to visit and outdoor adventures to join in with. Bedrooms 1, 2 & 3 can all be changed from twins to super king doubles on request. Fiona makes a delicious breakfast to start the day with, John will take you out to feed the animals if you want to join him. All the rooms are individually decorated in a country style, with all you need as a home from home. At the end of the day, relax in the lovely sitting room round the wood burning stove and use the large supply of books, games or DVD's, or venture a short distance to Peel and visit one of the many eateries there. There is complimentary cheese and biscuits, home made flapjacks, port and sherry in the rooms as well as eco toiletries. The B&B is a separate part of the owners house, with its own staircase and longe. There is ample parking in the Farmyard, just next to the house. There are a variety of outdoor spaces; walled garden as well as a sitting area outside the front door. There is also a leisure suite with BBQ hut, sauna and hot tub which can be hired separately by arrangement. John and Fiona live on the property, as well as Fiona's parents, and will be around when needed but will give you space to enjoy your trip as well. The dark skies are spectacular at Knockaloe Beg due to very little light pollution. The views over the hills and farmland make it a special place to be. There can be other guests staying on the Farm, but we all tend to get on very well together, there is almost no crime in the area. We are 0.6 mile from the bus stop were the buses run from 8am to 5pm. After that it is 2 miles to the nearest town of Peel, beautiful cycle ride, a short walk or £6 taxi ride. There is a good bus service from Peel. Cycle hire can be arranged from Peel in advance by your hosts. The Farm is 0.6 mile up a private lane. This gives the advantage of being off the road and lovely and quiet, but the disadvantage of being a short walk from the bus stop and a few potholes on the lane, which John tries to keep in as good condition as possible!
