The Old Rectory Barn is situated in Dronfield Village’s conservation area. Originally built in Tudor times, the Barn has been renovated over the past few years. It is attached the Old Rectory which is a historic Georgian residence and set in grounds of around an acre. Situated on the edge of the Peak District, Bakewell, Matlock and Chatsworth are a short car ride away. The central village location means that many restaurants, pubs, shops and the train station are a few mins walk away. A superb open plan Barn comprising 2 bedrooms (1 super king, 1 king), 2 bathrooms, lounge area (with log burner) and kitchen. There are two outside areas and the rear enclosed space contains a hot tub. The wifi is fast enough for video streaming and conferencing. Satellite, Freeview & Amazon TV / music is available. Coffee, tea, sugar and milk are provided. There is parking for 2 cars. The owners (Gill and Steve) live in the main house and will be around to offer help and guidance if required. Dronfield is an historic market town with medieval barn, Parish Church, and heritage walks. It has a sports centre with swimming pool and gym and a range of local shops. The Old Rectory Barn is situated in the middle of the town conservation area and there are numerous pubs, restaurants and takeaways within walking distance. For amazing food, art, music and culture, check out Sheffield City Centre; home to the Lyceum Theatre, the Crucible Theatre, the City Hall, numerous art galleries, museums and a couple of independent cinemas. The Peak District National Park is 5 miles away and Chatsworth House is a 15 min drive. Dronfield train station is a 5 mins walk from the house. Sheffield and Chesterfield are 10 min train journeys and there are direct trains to Manchester, Leeds, Nottingham and Liverpool.
