"Shelter from the Storm" Weeki Wachee River

Newer home close to nature & a short paddle to the Weeki Wachee River. A Paddle Paradise! SUP or kayak the river and enjoy it's beauty. Manatee swim by, fish jump and turtles sun outside along the 185 feet of waterfront. New screen porch, a firepit, gas grill, two paddleboards, tandem kayak & a single kayak. This is a new home with all amenities, large great common room, connects to outdoor deck, two showers & tubs. New appliances with washer and dryer. A great location on Crooked Finger Canal - less than 150 meters to the main river. There is a large Florida deck made of Cypress wood that overlooks the river Whole house access from front driveway. Large deck on the river side of the property We have an SUP (Stand Up Paddleboard) lesson and tour location a short paddle away . We also will have a caretaker nearby for any concerns This is a mixed neighborhood of single family homes that are on canals just off the main river. There are about 50% homeowners and 50% other vacation rentals in the area. It's very mellow. Bike, walk, run swim, SUP, Kayak and use your vehicle. The neighborhood is a perfect mile loop, for evening walks or runs. We will provide 2 SUP's & 2 Kayaks for your stay (One single Kayak and one double Kayak). There is the beautiful Weeki Wachee Preserve a short ride away for hiking & mountain biking. There are supermarkets, a variety of restaurants & microbreweries within 5 miles. The area of the river this home is located, up river towards the nature part of the river, is very tide dependent for a motorized vessal. If you have a motor boat you want to use while on this river, we recommend renting a home down river, closer to the gulf, where it is deeper water and not as challenging to navigate in and out of the canal. This home does not have a dock to moor a boat to. It has a nice walk up ramp perfect for non-motorized vessals. The Weeki Wachee State Park is 10 minutes away.
