Peaceful cottage, stunning views, edge of Weardale
This cottage is on the edge of the beautiful Weardale and has stunning views from the front. It has 2 bedrooms, kitchen, downstairs bathroom and lounge diner. There is a small outside seating area and off street parking. There are beautiful countryside walks right on the doorstep. Close to Durham, Bishop Auckland, Sunderland, Newcastle, Coast (Seaham and Seaham Harbour) Hamsterley Forest, Kynren, Beamish museum, Diggerland, High Force Waterfall. The house will be entirely for yourselves. There is a main double room, smaller single that can have a second bed although space is tight. It has a larger lounge/diner and smaller kitchen and downstairs bathroom. There is a private off road parking space that can be used with a little patio area by the back door with table and chairs for early morning coffee when the sun’s out! Guests have access to the whole space I am available to answer questions by message or email. Tow Law is a small ex mining village very close to the edge of the Weardale and the North Pennines. Close to Durham, Bishop Auckland, Sunderland, Newcastle and the coast it’s perfect for a relaxed break, particularly if you enjoy walking, cycling etc. Perfect for a relaxed weekend break or as a base for exploring the local area or when visiting students at university. The cottage has its own private parking space. There are local bus services into Durham and Bishop Auckland but having a car will make getting about to see the area much easier. Durham train station is about 12 miles away and takes 25 minutes to drive. Bishop Auckland train station is 10 miles and takes 20 minutes to drive. The village of Tow Law has pubs, fish and chip shop, Pharmacy, Coop supermarket and other small grocery shops. The village of Wolsingham is very close by with a lovely Italian restaurant (Buon Appetito) and the village of Sunniside is also close by with a pub (The Moss Inn) that does a good, and very affordable, Sunday Roast
