Light, modern and clean double room in a leafy area, a short walk from Newark town centre. House has a large kitchen and garden, is quiet and comfortable for guests. Your host is a well-travelled, hospitable individual who welcomes visitors from all backgrounds. The single and double bedrooms on offer are generous sizes. They share a newly refurbished bathroom which has a shower and a bath. There is a downstairs toilet and washbasin. The double bedroom has a chair for your comfort. The kitchen/dining room is comfortable and homely and enjoys a south facing window which looks out onto the private garden with its bird-feeder which attracts a range of wild birds all year round. The house itself is a 3-bedroomed detached house at the end of a no-through road, thus it is quiet & peaceful. There is an outdoor smoking area with comfortable seats in the garden which get the evening sun as it sets. Although there are houses surrounding the property, the garden itself is private. It is south facing enjoying the sun during the day. A trampoline in the garden is available for use but does not have a safety net around it. Access to wi-fi is available. The property is a 5 minute walk from fields which house miniature ponies; there are nearby walks either across natural terrain or along surfaced paths (good for cyclists) to some lovely lakes which are wildlife sanctuaries; there is also the beautiful river and castle in town, not far away. It is a 12 minute walk from Newark town centre & a 15 minute walk to each of the train stations - Newark Northgate & Newark Castle. Newark is a typical English market town on the river which is well-connected by public transport to places like Nottingham (25 miles and 25 minutes by train), Lincoln (15 miles and 20 minutes by train), London (one hour 20 minutes by train), Leicester (40 miles and one hour or one hour 20 by train).
