One of the most luxurious 5 star barn conversions quietly situated in the centre of the historic Cotswold village of Bibury. Newly converted to exacting standards and a high specification throughout, the barn offers spacious accommodation ideal for 1 or 2 couples and overlooks a garden and private wild flower meadow with sheep and woodland beyond. Features include floor to ceiling triple glazing, underfloor heating, beautiful oak joinery, stone floors and marble shower rooms. The entire barn will be yours for the duration of your stay, and includes two double bedrooms, large built in wardrobe, shower room and wet room, fully fitted & equipped kitchen with Siemens main oven with steam, combination microwave oven & warming drawer, Siemens induction hob, Miele dishwasher, large fridge, separate laundry with Miele washing machine, dryer and freezer, super fast WiFi, Sony TV with Sonos Beam Soundbar, Sonos One Speakers, John Cullen lighting with Rako controls. There are many books and magazines to read. Complimentary breakfast hamper. Complimentary tea and coffee. Luxurious cotton bedlinen and towels & bathrobes. Aesop & REN skincare products in the shower rooms. Private parking space included. My home is next door, so as long as we are there we will be available should you need help with anything. We leave a welcome basket on arrival with bread, croissant, butter, jam, orange juice, milk, tea, coffee and biscuits. Bibury village is world famous, repeatedly named prettiest village in England. The nineteenth-century artist and craftsman William Morris called Bibury "the most beautiful village in England" when he visited it. The village featuring Arlington Row and the Trout Farm is just a short walk away. Set within, a conservation area the village also has a Post Office, Gift Shop, Village Store and beautiful Saxon Church. Places to Eat Here are the owners’ local favourites: The Catherine Wheel, Bibury – a 2 minute walk The nearest old-fashioned local pub that offers traditional pub grub. The Swan, Bibury – a 3 minute walk A small bistro attached to the hotel offers non-residents breakfasts, lunches and suppers. The Village Pub, Barnsley (3 miles away) Casual dining in a traditional pub with outdoor seating. Good food. Barnsley House, Barnsley (3 miles away) The original home of Rosemary Verey, the highly acclaimed garden designer, a notable boutique hotel with gardens open to non-residents. Well worth a visit. The New Inn, Coln St Aldwyns (3 miles away) Traditional pub with a good menu. You can do a lovely walk cross country to Coln St Aldwyns from Bibury - you can walk, it takes about 40 minutes each way or drive the 3 miles by car. The Wheatsheaf, Northleach (6.5 miles away) Casual dining inside and out with great food and cocktails. Excellent Food. Made by Bob, Cirencester (7 miles away) If you would like to explore Cirencester, Bob’s is the best restaurant in the town, whether it is for brunch or a full-blown supper. Linwood Cafe, Fairford (6 miles away) Great for a coffee, breakfast or a lunch time snack. The Organic Farm Shop, Cirencester (6 miles away) Fab food that is largely grown on site. On the Burford Road, just outside Cirencester. The Bell Inn, Langford (12 miles away) Our favourite pub near Burford run by Peter Creed and Tom Noest focusing on good simple pub food with a straightforward wine list, spirits and beer selection. Lovely cosy pub with open fire, pizza oven and views over open countryside. A car is not essential but is recommended. There is one parking space adjacent to the barn available for guests. Guests access the parking and property using the owners’ private driveway. The closest train stations with connections to London Paddington (1hr 15 minutes travel) are Kemble (14 miles) and Swindon (17 miles). Please see ‘Taxis’ for transfers to the property.
