Feeling like a thousand miles from civilization, we are in the absolute center of the wineries and vineyards that make up the Santa Ynez Valley and Lompoc wine regions. We are just minutes away from all vineyard activities, great restaurants, movies, shopping and outdoor summertime theater making this location the best you will find! Whether for one or two couples, this is exceptional, personal comfort in an incredible environment. Your home is an immaculate, fully appointed with high quality furnishings, 2 bedroom, 2 bath home. The bright and open living room with vaulted ceilings has a 45" flat screen TV (service by Direct TV), DVD player, a remote controlled fireplace and Wi-Fi throughout the house. For a single couple, you have more than in a suite in a luxury hotel, given the special amenities on the property and the privacy you enjoy. For two couples the home is ideally designed, as each bedroom and bath are on opposite sides of the house, allowing for optimum privacy for all. The Master bedroom offers a luxurious king sized bed, 32" flat screen TV, en suite bath and walk-in closet. The second bedroom has a luxurious Queen bed, 32" flat screen TV and is adjacent to a full private bathroom, complete with washer and dryer. Both beds provide ultimate comfort with plush mattresses, hypo-allergenic pillows and blankets, covered by Egyptian cotton sheets. Rooms are both incredibly quiet and private. The fully equipped gourmet kitchen has a Keurig coffee maker, a full array of coffee pods as well as gourmet teas and a selection of spices and seasonings for those who want to "dine at home". Guests are welcomed with a basket of fresh fruit and bagels and cream cheese, so your first morning can be enjoyed relaxing with your coffee and bagel at one of your private patios: either enjoying the beauty of the gardens and private grounds or overlooking award winning vineyards, imagining yourself sitting at a Villa in Tuscany! The home has two private patios for our guests. In front is a lounge area with an outdoor L-shaped sofa. Looking out over beautiful lawns and gardens, this is a perfect place for drinks and relaxing in the afternoon. The second patio in the back overlooks sprawling vistas of vineyards and mountains. There is a large table for dining, for those who want to dine "at home". This has truly become the favorite spot for all of our guests to enjoy sprawling vistas of vineyards while having coffee in the morning or incredible sunsets of breathtaking beauty. Finally you can also enjoy afternoon cocktails watching magnificent sunsets over the Infinity Bocce Court or sit in the gazebo under a sweeping willow, a private place under a massive tree where guests can relax in a romantic spot. This is the place to choose if you are a discriminating traveler. If you have traveled well and appreciate the comforts of finer hotels, you will feel right at home. The property affords you the resort experience: enjoy playing Bocce on a regulation-sized Bocce Ball court, dine al fresco at a picnic table, relax with coffee or drinks in a garden gazebo or on either of your two private patios. Harvest fresh veggies (when available) from the organic garden outside your back door. We frequently have Sunday morning Bocce games with friends that you would be welcome to join. Please be aware that all players are required to wear flat bottom shoes on the court. Unfortunately, the Court is NOT usable for several days after it rains as it needs to thoroughly dry out. For guests who have electric vehicles, we have the ability to charge an RV or a Tesla. Please let me know in advance if you need these conveniences. Guests are welcome to explore the property, but the Main House and its back patio are excluded. Although the Air BnB wording is "not suitable", to be very clear, for the safety and comfort of all our guests, please know WE DO NOT allow guests to bring ANY pets to the property. And, for the same reasons, we do NOT rent to children under the age of 12. We have had a wonderful time socializing with our guests and when possible, many have joined us for drinks and hors d'oeuvres prior to going out for dinner. This is totally at the discretion of the guests, as we always want to respect their privacy and leave them to enjoy their vacation without disturbance from us. However we are always available for any questions or assistance a guest may need. Please note: Due to COVID, we have curtailed bringing guests into our home. We always wear masks and maintain a safe space in respect for our guests. Situated in the hills just above Solvang, on a hillside with 360* views and incomparable privacy, surrounded by exquisite vineyards and horse farms, it feels like we are in the heart of Tuscany - yet we are centrally located to all the experiences visitors come to the Santa Ynez Valley to enjoy. For wine tasters we are at the hub of the Valley area encompassing Solvang, Santa Ynez, Los Olivos, Buellton and Lompoc. Vineyards, tasting rooms and wineries are within minutes of us in all directions! From our home you are 3-4 minutes from the 101 Freeway or the quaint Danish town of Solvang; 5- 6 minutes from Los Olivos or Santa Ynez and 15 minutes from the wine ghetto of Lompoc. Our location is also minutes from unique shops, numerous gourmet restaurants, and for those who want a game of chance, the Chumash Casino. We live on a private road, so transportation must be done by personal vehicles. There are now several taxi and limo services - including SY Taxi & Tours, Uber, Cloud 9 Jeep Tours, Stagecoach Tours and others - available for wine private tours. Wineries with tasting rooms abound throughout the Valley from Santa Ynez to Lompoc and we are in the heart of it all! Many guests have utilized these services with great success as it allows all members of your party to enjoy tasting wine without concern for "designated drivers." It is extremely easy to reach any destination in our Valley that guests might want to enjoy. This house is fully prepared with everything you need: all paper goods for kitchen and bath; dishes, utensils, seasonings, etc. in a fully stocked kitchen, toiletries (soap, shampoo, conditioner, body lotion) and hair dryer in the baths: you only need to bring your clothes and personal items to relax and enjoy the comforts of this home. As a special note, our Ambassador of Love, Rocky, is a Golden Retriever who is positive that all guests have come here especially to see him! If you DO love dogs, he will be thrilled to shower you with his attention. If you DO NOT love dogs, please be assured we will absolutely keep him out of your way! IMPORTANT NOTE: We are a licensed Air BnB home in Santa Barbara County. However, we do NOT charge our guests additional taxes or fees that the County requires as Occupancy taxes for guests who use Air BnB, which are at least 12.5%. We cover taxes and fees levied without adding further costs for our guests. Pricing for one week bookings includes a free night; pricing for one month can be arranged. The cleanliness of the home is paramount: it is professionally cleaned before and after each guests arrival. Should you stay longer than one week, you will be required to permit a second cleaning while you are here, at an additional charge of $100.00/visit. This fee will be collected directly from you. If you prefer more frequent visits, that can also be arranged. Again, however, for an additional charge that will be the guest's responsibility. We will be happy to assist you with information about local wineries, places to eat and popular attractions. Reservations for weekends require a 2 night minimum stay. However, weekdays are flexible. FOR THE PROTECTION OF OUR GUESTS AS WELL AS OUR HEALTH, DUE TO COVID-19 AND THE OMICRON VARIANT, WE ARE REQUIRING ALL GUESTS TO HAVE BEEN DOUBLY VACCINATED AND RECEIVED THE BOOSTER.
