The self-catering unit has a kitchenette and dining area. The kitchenette is equipped with a fridge, microwave, electric frying pan, toaster, crockery and cutlery. The suites is situated a few meters away from the main house near the mini-animal farm. Unfortunately, no children under the age of 10 or pets are allowed. Garden, braai area, mini farm, parking and pergola Great variety of diverse people live peacefully in our village, from sculptures, artists, musicians, writers and academia. The village has a bookshop (Dustcovers), a shop (Die Winkel) which cater for all your basic needs. We have various restaurants, bookings are preferable, brewery, a pub, church and a Padstal that serves traditional Karoo meals, fresh meat, biltong, jams and bottled veggies. The best way to explore the village is by foot. The village still has dirt roads without any street lights. Most attractions are between 5 to 15 minute walk from the lodge. At attractions there is only street parking available. Weather is unpredictable with extreme cold in winter. The lodge is located next to the water furrows and during the summer months we have moths and mosquitoes. We have provided mosquito nets in all the rooms. We are, unfortunately, not wheelchair friendly.
