Welcome pack. 6-acre natural and landscaped grounds with woodland and garden furniture (shared). Carp and trout fishing by arrangement, £5 per day or £20 per week to be paid on arrival. No smoking or e-cigarettes in properties or grounds. Please note: No children under 16 years old. There is an unfenced lake and stream in the grounds.. Annie’s Meadow has three stunning properties set in 6 acres of parkland which include a fishing lake, unspoilt woodland and daffodil paddock with fantastic views across and down the valley. Enjoying peaceful surroundings, these comfortable holiday homes provide the ideal base for exploring Derbyshire and the Peak District National Park. Single-storey Meadowside (ref REEO) is detached, whilst Woodside (ref REEN) and Lakeside (ref REEM) are ground floor and first floor wings of the same larger property. The area is popular with walkers and many walks can be enjoyed from the doorstep. Other activities available locally include cycling, horse riding, climbing, canoeing and water sports. Fishing in the private carp lake (for guests’ use only) and trout stream is available by arrangement with the owner, fees are payable on arrival, £5 per day or £20 per week (please note that no equipment is provided and barbless hooks are necessary). It is also a birdwatcher’s paradise with many species of waterfowl flying in and out of the parkland at various times of the year. Other species of birds include oystercatchers, heron, cormorants, owls, kestrels, woodpecker and even the occasional red kite flying over and a yearly visit from swans. Each property has its own seating area and there is seating all around the grounds from which to enjoy the scenery. Lakeside (ref REEM) also has use of the summerhouse. Located in the small parish of Offcote, the properties are just 2½ miles away from the market town of Ashbourne, which, apart from its historic buildings and cobbled market place, offers a good selection of shops and cafés. Other places of interest within driving distance include Chatsworth House, Carsington Water, Alton Towers, Churnet Valley Steam Railway and Bakewell, as well as NT attractions such as Kedleston Hall (9 miles), Dovedale which is great for walkers (7 miles), Haddon Hall and Sudbury Hall. Please note this property has a strict no smoking policy. Smoking or vaping is not allowed in the properties or in the grounds. Shop and restaurant 3½ miles, pub 2 miles.
