Welcome to Russell's Corner and The Old Stables. The house is a Victorian Lodge House which was formally part of the Courtauld Estate. Recently converted and redecorated throughout by an interior designer. The house is very close to the Gosfield Hall Wedding Venue and has 3 spacious double bedrooms and sleeps 6 people The master bedroom has an ensuite shower room. We have recently converted the old stable block which is now a modern, boutique style purpose built guest space for up to 4 people Stylish and very comfortable family home in a great location close to Halstead, Colchester, Braintree, Chelmsford, Cambridge, Stansted Airport and London A Victorian lodge house with a beautiful garden and countryside views The House is extremely close to the wonderful wedding venues of Gosfield Hall and Hedingham Castle. The Old Stables is a conversion in the garden which is now specifically set up for guest accommodation. This stylish space has open plan kitchen dining area, large sitting room with views over the garden, french doors onto a patio area and a seperate bedroom and shower room. The space has been interior designed and is now a comfortable and homely space for guests to enjoy. We can accomodate up to 10 people across the 2 properties. 6 in the main house using the 3 spacious double bedrooms and 4 people in the Old Stables where there is one double bedroom with king size bed and a sofa bed in the living area. The Old Stables were converted in July 2019 and has a modern fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar, bean to cup coffee machine, WiFi, large shower room and has beautiful views over the garden and surrounding countryside Guests will have access to the whole property including Russell’s Corner and the Old Stables. You will have sole occupancy to the entire property. You will also be able to enjoy the large garden and patio areas with wonderful views over the surrounding countryside We are contactable at all times during your stay. Great walks - The property backs on to open countryside and is great for exploring the countryside. We are perfectly situated to explore the nearby countryside, woods and nature. There is an abundance of walks literally on the doorstep. We are very close to the wedding venues of Gosfield Hall and Hedingham Castle and the newly opened Chelmsford City Racecourse is a 20 minute drive away. The towns on Halstead, Sudbury, Braintree, Colchester, Chelmsford are all within 30 minutes drive and the larger cities of London and Cambridge are within an hours drive. There are good public transport links in and out of London as well as a good bus network. To really enjoy the lovely villages and tourist attractions near to the property it is advisable to have your own vehicle.
