Aubéguimont is a small forestry and farming hamlet set in rural upper Normandie. There are great views across the countryside and the market town of Aumale is 9 km away, where you can find artisan bakers and butchers, as well as supermarkets, swimming pool and other amenities. Saturday in Aumale is market day, where you can buy locally produced cheeses and meats, and other French delicacies. Blangy is another nearby town that has a great market on Sunday mornings selling local food produce, clothing and vintage household items. A specialist food market can be found every Saturday at Neufchâtel-en-Bray, as can several artisan makers of the eponymous Neufchâtel soft cheese. Aumale is on Normandie/Picardie border. Picardie has many notable places to visit. The Picardie coast is full of beautiful sandy beaches, while shopping and dining in Amiens should not be missed. There are beautiful parks and gardens to visit, bike-riding, horse-riding and water sports, museums, and Gothic cathedrals. The village of Aubéguimont is situated on a small plateau (at the top of the hill with great views all round!); local villages and forests are a very easy to access and a relatively level ride if you are on two wheels. There are big swimming pools in the local towns. The Normandy countryside is genuinely stunning, mile upon mile of rolling hills and huge forests, and for those so inclined we have some of the best fishing in Normandy. Fantastic trout and sea-trout fishing on La Bresle, a wonderful chalkstream river that flows from Aumale and enters the sea at Le Tréport. Picardie is just over La Bresle river and has many wonderful places to visit to keep all the family happy.
