Rural Retreat with all comfort

This 100 year old wooden house is surrounded on 3 sides by forest and offers a wonderful view of the Rax. The south-facing, sunny view extends from the Rax to the Preiner Gschaid. The house has a heating with two Swedish stoves, which are able to heat the entire house. A modern kitchen with dishwasher, refrigerator (with freezer) and induction cooker completes the basic equipment. A wonderful place to relax and enjoy nature. There are 2 bedrooms, including a large bedroom with a double bed 180 x 200cm, the other with two double beds 140 x 200cm. WC and shower on the same level from both rooms accessible. In the living room there is television via Internet streaming on a beamer with el. operated screen. Wi-Fi free throughout the house. In addition, there is an electric heater for quick heat especially for preheating. The entire house is at guests' disposal. These include: 2 toilets (ground floor and first floor), kitchen and dining room and 2 bedrooms with bath and shower. I can be present in exceptional cases only. Around the house is nature only. By car you drive about 7-10 minutes to Reichenau an der Rax, where is everything necessary, such as pharmacy, several supermarkets, ATM and train station (Payerbach-Reichenau). For skiing you need about 30 minutes (Semmering / Stuhleck). Furthermore, there is an excellent bakery / pastry shop in Reichenau and the well-known Reichenauer Festspiele for the cultural pleasures in summer (July / August). You can reach the most beautiful hiking trails through the house´s own forest. There are many hiking opportunities: for example on the Rax - either on foot or by gondola. (About 5 min by car) On hot days, the Schwarza provides cooling or you can just enjoy the sun on the cool river. For those who like it sporty, there are numerous via ferratas between difficulty levels 1 to 11 and secured rocky slopes (between A to D) on the Rax and also on the Schneeberg. The Schwarza is also an unspoiled kayak water (A to D). Public transport (bus) is available directly in Edlach an der Rax in about 10 minutes walk from the house. This leads to Payerbach to the train, where you in about 1 hour in Vienna. (Wiesel) It is a 100-year-old house whose insulation does not meet modern standards. Therefore, when it is cold, it is important to heat the stove in the dining room with the stored wood in the evening to keep it warm even in the bedrooms upstairs. The electric radiators are only for supplementary heating and should not be used as the sole heating.
