Off-road parking is available for one car, while a well-behaved dog is also welcome. The enclosed garden at the rear of the property has a summerhouse and other garden furniture. River Gardens Cottage is a unique and great location for a relaxing holiday in Yorkshire. Amenities: Gas central heating with gas fire in sitting room. Gas oven and hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, TV with Freeview, WiFi, selection of books, games and DVDs. Bed linen (no towels provided) inc. in rent. Off-road parking for one car. Garden with patio and furniture. One well-behaved dog welcome. Sorry, no smoking. Shop 8 mins walk and pub 3 mins walk. Note: This property has good bus and train links. Note: Cafe and Gardens on the grounds are closed in October. Note: The bath is no longer in the property. This has been replaced with a shower cubicle. Region: From heather-clad moors and limestone scars, to market towns and the steady pace of country life - the sublime Dales await you! Where else in Britain is it as satisfying to sit and do nothing as it is to explore the numerous pursuits on offer? Town: Sleights is situated just four miles from the Yorkshire coastline, it is also on the edge of the North Yorkshire moors, littered with villages and scenery. It is very popular with walkers and cyclists. Though quiet, Sleights has a pub, a fish and chip shop, an antique shop, a cafe and a Post Office within a Spar shop. The North Yorkshire Steam Railway is a few minutes’ drive, while the town of Whitby lies at the mouth of the River Esk and is ideally positioned to explore Yorkshire. A town of winding streets and hidden alleys, with a harbour, safe sandy beaches and, of course, the abbey, reached by 199 steps.
