Recently refurbished Arts & Crafts house, set in its own enclosed garden, with spectacular sea view. In the coastal village of St Cyrus, just a 5min walk down cliff path to the golden sands & flowering grasslands of St Cyrus National Nature Reserve. Lots of space to make your own; whether making a feast or relaxing by the stove in the large kitchen, spotting dolphins from the conservatory or watching the moon rise out of the sea after a BBQ. Enclosed garden ideal for children & dogs. Cliff Cottage is a recently refurbished Arts & Crafts house with 3 bedrooms (one double and two twins) one bathroom (with original roll top bath and separate brand new shower) and a downstairs loo. The large, well equipped kitchen is perfect for preparing a feast, whilst others relax by the wood stove. The living room leads into the spacious conservatory overlooking the garden and stunning sea view. The sunroom off the hall offers a quite space to read a book, watch the garden birds and dry your outdoor gear if you get caught in a shower walking on the nature reserve, along the cliff path or up in the hills. The utility room is prefect for cleaning and storing your walking boots and clothes, golf clubs, fishing gear or bikes. Enjoy making the whole house and garden yours during your stay. Check-in is from 3pm. Check-out is by 10am. I live in Devon at the moment, but any questions, just message me or call during your stay. St Cyrus village is a lively coastal village with a pub (with good pub grub and local beer), shop, post office, cafe, church, garage and park with playthings for children (small and big). The spectacular 92ha of golden sands and flowering grasslands of St Cyrus National Nature Reserve is just a 5min walk down the cliff path. You can also take the cycle path south along the old railway line to Montrose or north along the road to Johnshaven and Stonehaven. Montrose has all the amenities of a large town plus a busy harbour with lots of interesting oil industry and coastal trading ships. The impressive Montrose Basin is well worth exploring, from the Scottish Wildlife Trust Visitor Centre or by walking from the rather grand Bridge of Dun. Aberdeen and Dundee are both about 45mins away by road or by train from Montrose. The beautiful Angus Glens are just 25mins drive SE and you can be in the Cairngorms National Park in only 20min or so, if you want to head up into the hills for a stroll or to bag a couple of Munros. Buses south to Montrose, Arbroath & Dundee or north to Stonehaven and Aberdeen. There are a couple of bus stops on the Main Street in the village. Montrose, with train station, is about 10mins drive south. Aberdeen and Dundee 45 mins. Please remember that face coverings are currently required on all public transport. Cliff Cottage has parking for at least 4 cars in the driveway. There is a key safe to give easy access as well as making life simple if some of your party head home early from a walk. The key and key box are cleaned and sanitised during turnaround, in line with the new Airbnb Covid Cleaning Protocol. The ground floor is currently all painted floorboards so in cooler months remember to bring slippers! The kettle BBQ is stored in the sunroom, it makes an excellent moveable fire pit once you've finished cooking.
