Terra D'Alva | House within Douro's National Park

Set in the Douro River’s right bank in the Douro International Natural Park, Terra d'Alva is surrounded by Port Wine vineyards and includes an outdoor swimming pool. The 4-bedroom house features scenic river and Douro Valley views. The house features air conditioning, central heating, a living area, private bathrooms and an equipped kitchenette. The accommodation has views over the Douro River and the Port wine vineyards. Guests are welcome to prepare their meals in the equipped kitchenette and enjoy them in the comfortable dining area. Canoeing is available at a surcharge and guests can rent bicycles through the front desk, in order to better discover the surrounding green areas. You will be hosted by Irene, the homeowner or a family member, as this a family-owned and run business. The Douro riverside area features a varied animal life, including rare bird species, such as the black stork, Royal Eagle and Bonneli’s Eagle. Vila Nova de Foz Côa is a 50-minute drive and is famed for its palaeolithic engraved rocks. Freixo de Espada à Cinta is a 20-minute drive while Almeida’s 18th century fortress is 40 km away. Salamanca Airport, in Spain, is 100 km away, while the Porto International Airport is a 3-hour drive from Terra d'Alva (Barca D'Alva).
