Get the best of both town and country during your next trip to Philadelphia. Stay in a well-appointed, modern private apartment in a beautiful brick colonial revival home (built 1890) in quiet Lansdowne, PA - minutes from the airport and downtown Philly. A short walk to regional rail (5 stops to Center City), Lansdowne's popular farmer's market, and local restaurants. Our home was built in 1890 - actually pre-dating Lansdowne, the town in which it's located. While the exterior speaks to historical Philadelphia - the interior has been entirely renovated into multiple apartments with modern finishings. The property sits on .33 acres and includes the main building and a two-story carriage house. The 1 bedroom apartment available on AirBnB (approximately 540 square feet, lockable entry) is on the second floor of the main house. It includes a living room, bedroom, full kitchen, and bathroom with bathtub/shower. There are ceiling fans in the living room and bedroom. There are also air conditioners at the ready for hot days in both the living room and bedroom. The apartment has XFINITY (Comcast) cable and an Amazon Fire TV Stick available to use for any subscriptions you may have to Amazon, etc. Guests have access to a second floor 1-bedroom apartment (living room, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom), as well as the washer and dryer in the basement. Guests also have access to one off-street parking spot in our driveway. No crazy Philly street parking! We live right down the street and work from home, so we're more than happy to offer support as needed. We're all very friendly and love meeting new people, but we respect your privacy. If you're social - we'll be happy to return in kind! Otherwise - we're close by if/when you need us. If you're visiting the area, we know you're likely heading to Philadelphia, but Lansdowne has lots of charms, too! It's well known for its beautiful historic homes, especially Victorian homes. Downtown Lansdowne, while tiny, is full of culture. The historic Lansdowne Theater has been newly renovated and the local farmer's market on the weekends (just a few blocks walk) is very popular. There are many local restaurants, or you can order in from many Philly restaurants via UBEREats. Lansdowne is only 7 miles from downtown Philadelphia. We are a few short blocks (very walkable) from the Media/Elwyn regional rail line. The line runs directly into University City (4 stops) and Center City (5 stops to Suburban Station). It's so easy to get into downtown Philly. Downtown Lansdowne is a 5 minute walk away, with access to restaurants and grocery stores. We are also only a 15 minute drive from the Philadelphia International airport and very convenient to many universities: U Penn, Drexel, University of the Sciences, Swarthmore College, St. Joseph's University, and many more! There is one parking space reserved for the apartment. Any additional vehicles would be required to park on the street where there is often many spaces to choose from.
