A quiet, clean, secure guest room in a family home situated very near Wombwell railway station, 4 miles from M1 (J36), 10 miles from A1. Surrounded by lovely countryside, with Barnsley, Sheffield, Doncaster, Wakefield and Leeds accessible. Private toilet/ shower room. Use of kitchen and washing/ ironing facilities. Smart T.V. Wi-fi. Driveway parking provided. Quiet policy after 10pm. A friendly welcome awaits. The room is quiet, clean, and comfortable. Ideal for a holiday or for people working who want quick access to M1, A1, M62 or local railway service that connects to main East and West lines. Use can be made of the kitchen, including washing, drying, dishwasher and ironing facilities. Tea/Coffee provided in the room. The garden room bosts small kitchenette including sink microwave and fridge. The Guest room and private toilet/ shower facilities are exclusively available to guests. The kitchen is also available as a shared facility with Karen and Gareth, and with Josh & Emily their children. Other members of the family or friends may be staying and Norman the rabbit lives inside, well away from guests. The lounge and other areas of the house are protected for private use by the owners. Guests are free to sit and relax in the garden, weather permitting! We will assist guests in any reasonable way, and we like all guests to feel relaxed. Gareth is a classical music teacher but the music room has pretty good sound insulation. The house is situated on a small modern estate in a quiet cul de sac position. Wombwell centre is approximately one mile away and there is an out of town Retail Park, which includes Pizza Hut, Macdonalds, Frankie and Benny's, Boots, Next and many other outlets. There are a number of Take Away options, many of which deliver food. We are also 20 mins away (by train or car) from Meadowhall Shopping Centre. The Trans-Pennine trail, with plenty of opportunity for walkers and cyclists, is accessible directly from the property. There is a nearby Heritage Centre, the Moorlands RSPB Reserve, and other charming local villages, with cities like Sheffield, Doncaster, Wakefield and Leeds all within an hour by train or by car, and York just a little further. The Peak District is also close at hand, as is the Doncaster Wildlife Park, the Nostell Priory Country Estate, various Museums and other attractions. Wombwell railway station is a few hundred metres walk from the property. The railway network accesses Barnsley, Sheffield, Leeds, Huddersfield, and connects with the mainline East and West rail services. There are also local bus services, and the local motorway network (M1, A1, M62) provides fast access to Manchester, to the East Coast, and to many other northern locations.
