There are plenty of fresh towels and linens provided and a washer/drying in the home for your use. Wifi is strong to work remotely. 1100 + square foot LAKEFRONT LEVEL OF 2 FAMILY HOME (raised ranch style) The coolest hosts reside in the upper level :) Just to be clear you have the entire Lower (ground) Level to yourself which includes private entrance and all of the amenities mentioned within. While this is a private home someone (us!) lives in the upper level. Theres been some confusion since Airbnbs options for listing don’t specifically address this type of property so I want to reiterate, the units are very separate and private like a condo would be but it’s just us who live on the property :) Gorgeous views lend way to the perfect lakefront getaway! We’re the perfect alternative stay to the area hotels if you’re coming to golf, mountain bike, ski, spartan race, wedding or just to get away. In any season there’s tons to do and the views never disappoint. Eat in or out- everything you need in a kitchen to make a home cooked meal is provided; pots, pans, utensils, spices etc. The porch overlooking the lake is covered to enjoy in any weather and the upper yard is fenced in. Small Indoor electric fireplace in living room . Outdoor turn key gas bowl fire pit on your patio. Ready to go! Living room has a 46 inch satellite equipped TV with Netflix and Bluetooth sound bar. AC and ceiling fans in both the living room and bedroom. Smart tv in bedroom is equipped with Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu etc (no cable connection in bedroom) We provide WiFi , all kitchen appliances, towels and extra bedding. The large single bedroom has 1 queen bed and 1 full sized bed and oversized closet. 2 twin airbeds also provided Washer/dryer in your suite (limit to 1 load per day) Only 50 miles from New York City Vernon boasts several world class Crystal Springs golf resorts and spas, Mountain Creek Ski and snow tubing, Bike, Water Parks and attractions like Treescapes. Explore the Appalachian trails with an easy walk on its boardwalk or the intense hike up The Stairway to Heaven to Pinwheel Vista where the views overlooking Delaware Water Gap and High Point State Monument are stunning. Stroll or bike the 1.4 mile loop around our lake and enjoy all it’s wildlife and beauty. Swim and fish off our private dock (bring your fishing pole). Ice fishing or skate when lake is frozen ! Our private lake does not allow guests to use the beach but Waywayanda State Park and beach is open to the public. There is a gate entrance in the Barry Lake section of Vernon just 15 minutes from our location. Plan ahead as the park can fill up. (Website link in our local guide) A short 20 minute drive to the artsy Village of Warwick NY for shopping, great food, live music on the green, billiards, Farmers Market and the famous annual Fall Applefest. Property access includes- Lakefront dock access to swim and fish (bring your own fishing supplies) and launch. Bring your own inflatables (An inflatable boat is a great idea to invest in for your stay - you won’t be sorry;) Unfortunately, our Lake association has restricted short term rental guests from using the community beach (residents up in arms about ‘strangers’ 🤦🏻‍♀️) …So we have added a dock to our property for guest use ;) Ice skate and ice fish Partially fenced in yard Covered porch overlooking lake *Patios *Gas Fire pit on your patio - just turn on gas and turn the key! *2 additional wood fire pits on lower lake level of property. ** FIREWOOD AND PROPANE REFILLS ARE GUEST RESPONSIBILITY beyond what propane is existing in tank upon your arrival. Nothing dramatic just simple common sense; wash your dishes, wipe up your own messes when you cook or spill for example. Please be sure your guests understand these terms as well- the main booking guest will be reviewed based on their entire group. The cleaning fee is minimal to ensure the place is sanitized for each new stay. Cleaning fee does not cover replacement of appliances, utensils , towels and linens or repainting. Neighborhood is close (a quick 1 mile drive) to a few conveniences like local restaurant, liquor store, hardware, dollar general, library, deli and gas. We are very conveniently located between Mountain Creek South Lodge/Minerals Resort and Spa, and Crystal Springs Grand Cascades (2 minutes from our lake community!) The George Inn (restaurant, bar and packaged goods) as well as the gas station, dollar store, library and deli are all near the entrance of our neighborhood. However, you will need a car in Vernon to get around. If you need a last minute booking please inquire we will accommodate if possible. This 2 family house is shared with host yet completely separate living. Often we don’t even cross paths so no worries you have privacy!
