Country cottage, great location, views and walks.

My cottage has been tastefully restored over a number of years which oozes character. The cottage is well appointed and decorated and furnished in keeping with the property. The cottage is on three levels with a kitchen, two living rooms, three bedrooms and a loft conversion. Off street parking is available for one car as well as quiet on street parking. There is a small, picturesque front garden with views of the country park and a large back garden which is adjacent to a farmer's field. Guests would have access to a private double bedroom with a king size bed while single guests would have the choice of staying in the loft area which has a single bed and living area. There is a private living room which has access to a tv with sky channels. Guests would have to share a bathroom with toilet, bath tub and electric shower as well as a fully equipped kitchen area. The house has a solid fuel central heating system and Wi-Fi is available throughout the property. The property boasts great views from all rooms, especially on the upper floors. The property is ideal for those looking for peace and quiet in a rural setting on the fringes of a country park offering great walks as well as having an easy commute to Leeds, Wakefield and Barnsley. It is also a perfect base for anybody wanting to make a visit to the Yorkshire Sculpture Park which is just a five minute walk from the property. I can offer a lift to and from the property for single travellers arriving into Wakefield by train or bus. I also live in the house so would be available at most times for the duration of your stay as well as being able to give advice of the local area and the country park. The property resides in a sleepy, yet accessible rural, country village. It is ideal for walking being on the doorstep of the famous Yorkshire Sculpture Park with all it has to offer. There are very few facilities in the village so if you are looking for local shops or pubs this is not the place for you. If you are looking for fabulous walking in a rural, quiet setting this might be for you. Although there is easy access to the surrounding areas, villages, tourist attractions, shopping and cities, ideally you will need a car to reach them although there is bus service through the village into Wakefield, Barnsley and Leeds.
