A rural retreat in Farnsfield on the doorstep of both Sherwood Forest and Southwell Town. All mod-cons, the hideaway has the best of modern day living in a peaceful, quiet countryside location. The Hideaway is rural, nature walks left right and centre and with a Scandi style. At the Hideaway you can enjoy cooking in the kitchen, teas and coffees provided (including a Nespresso machine). Or you can chose to visit one of the many places to eat in Farnsfield including the Rustic Crust (pizzeria), the Lion (Gastro-pub). Or you can order takeaway with the fish and chip van on a Thursday or the Chinese. A cottage garden outside where you can pick seasonal produce or sit outside with a bbq and enjoy the sunshine. We have hens and you are welcome to collect your own eggs if you like! A cosy dining room area. A living space upstairs with TV with a fire stick and full WiFi. Cotbed and high chair available upon request. There is also a bedroom space with a large double bed and soft laundered linen provided. With a Juliet Balcony overlooking fields - this is the prefect set up for a rural break. A lock-up for bikes is also available. With Gastro pubs, a stunning cafe, a new pizzeria and a butcher-cum-gin bar, Farnsfield is a quirky place to stay. Close to the Southwell trail, and the Robin Hood Way (as well as many other public bridleways) it’s ideal for walkers. A 10 minute drive from the cottage you can find Sherwood pines, Newstead abbey, Rufford Abby and Clumber Park, ideal places to visit. A 10min cycle or a 5min car ride from Southwell with its stunning Minster, eateries, pubs, a wine bank and boutique shops - the Hideaway is an ideal place to access all this. Perfect for walkers and cyclists - this is a truly rural retreat with all the trappings of modern life. There is parking for 1 vehicle on the drive, on street parking available if needed. A lock up for bikes also available.
