Carriage House Guest Home, Peninsula Neighborhood

Enjoy a stay in our nicely appointed “Carriage House” style guest home. Located in Iowa City’s unique Peninsula neighborhood. This home with large windows and tons of natural light has easy access to the U of Iowa, UIHC medical campus and the downtowns of Iowa City and Coralville. This one bedroom, one bath space comes completely furnished and can sleep up to 4 people. Amenities include a full kitchen with full sized appliances, washer and dryer in the home, off-street parking, a private deck, and a bonus room that can be used as storage or could be set up as a separate office/study space. A strong Wifi signal and YouTube TV are also included. This home has a private entrance directly off its own designated off-street parking space. There is addition on-street parking if needed. Guests will be able to access a private Wifi network used solely for this home as well as YouTube TV. My husband and I live on-site in the attached home and will be available to greet and check out our guests. We will be available most times should there be any challenges, but we prefer to leave our guests to come and go as they please. The Peninsula Neighborhood is located north of downtown Iowa City. Close to the U of Iowa and UIHC campuses. Easy access to downtown Iowa City and Coralville’s exciting Iowa River Landing is just across the river. The bus stops about 2 block from the home and runs roughly every 30 minutes to downtown and the U of Iowa. If you want to stay closer to home we have a commercial space in the neighborhood that currently houses Apres Wine Bar and Bistro, A personal trainer, and Peninsables A small convenience store. And for our furry friends, Iowa City’s 11-acre off-leash dog park is just a short walk away. The Peninsula Neighborhood is designed as a pedestrian/bike friendly, walkable neighborhood. But if you have the need to leave it (Why would you? We have a coffee bar, restaurant featuring wine bar, and a dog park!) the Iowa City bus line picks up at two places in the neighborhood and runs roughly every 30 minutes to downtown of the U of Iowa and the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. This home shares no walls with any other space so it can be as quiet as you like. It is also available for long term rentals at a discounted rate.
