The Granary near Burford in The Cotswolds

Set in the heart of the Cotswolds in the Windrush Valley, our guest house is set at the end of the garden and perfect for those wanting a short escape. The guest house is a newly converted, beautiful stone cottage, with an open plan living space, fully stocked kitchen and double or twin bedroom with ensuite bathroom. There are wonderful walks and cycling right on our doorstep. The guesthouse is located in a pretty Cotswold village at the end of a short lane with total privacy and parking immediately beside the property. Guests have the entire property to themselves, including an outside sitting area. We are very happy to help guests with any queries and can give advise about local walks, good pubs, places of interest to visit, local shops etc. If adequate notice is given, I am happy to stock the fridge with breakfast foods and other basics. The Windrush Valley, and the surrounding villages and towns, including Burford, and the villages of Swinbrook, Asthall and Minster Lovell are packed with history and fascinating places to visit. The beautiful rolling countryside and rivers running through it only encourage one to want to walk, cycle and explore the area. Ideally visitors should have a car (or bicycle), but if necessary we would be happy to collect from our local train station of Charlbury which is 12 minutes away and an hour and a half train journey from London Paddington. Our village is approximately 10 minutes drive from Witney and excellent shopping facilities, or a 5 minute drive to our local Spar Shop which stocks good groceries and newspapers. We are a half hour drive from the centre of Oxford with its myriad of attractions.
