Entire barn, private access / courtyard, W Sussex.
The Stables has just been converted and provides a high quality, cosy property, set in beautiful West Sussex countryside. Situated within the grounds of Highbuilding, the property is located in the South Downs National Park. It is within close proximity to Petworth (20 minutes), Goodwood (25 minutes) and the South Coast (West Wittering 45 mins, Bosham 35 mins). The property has its own gated entrance and secure, private courtyard with parking. The courtyard has outside seating and a BBQ. The Stables is finished to a high standard, is well equipped, comfortable and warm. We have installed a sustainable ground source heat pump which supplies underfloor heating throughout. Accommodation is all at ground level with the main entrance into the kitchen/dining room. The kitchen is new and well equiped with ample room for a table and four chairs. Standard kitchen appliances plus coffee machine and toaster. The sitting room is spacious and light with substantial corner sofa and TV plus day bed. Separate bedroom with king-sized bed and bath/shower room/wc. The stables can sleep up to 4 people. The day bed (in the sitting room) can either be set up before arrival as twin beds or a super king bed. We provide free broadband, Freesat TV (not Sky) and a DVD player. There is a washing machine and a small drying rack only, I’m afraid no tumble drier. However, for longer stays, we can offer a laundry facility that is collected from The Stables, this would be an extra cost. For longer stays of more than a week, cleaning, laundry of towels and sheets is provided. Arrival is contactless using a key safe. We are very much here to help should you need us for anything. Breakfast (eggs laid at Highbuilding, sourdough, butter, local honey) with tea and coffee (Nespresso) is provided in the kitchen on your arrival for the morning. The village of Fernhurst is a short walk across the fields and has a coffee shop next to a fabulous fruit and vegetable shop. There is a pub further into the village next to the cricket green. Walks are straight from the door or a short drive to the South Downs. If you ever need anything locally, there is a very good shop in the village with mainly fruit and veg but a lot of other things too, as well as a newsagents and post office which stocks essentials.
