Fabulous views plenty of walking close by . 3 miles from Newark 2.5 miles from Southwell. Grange Cottage adjoins our home but is separated via locked internal doors. The cottage accommodation includes: GROUND FLOOR -Conservatory with seating area -Kitchen (with washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave) with door leading to outdoor space and table and chairs -BBQ available for quest use -Lounge/diner with 2 double sofas and dining table and 4 chairs FIRST FLOOR: -Master bedroom boasting a Super King size bed and balcony overlooking paddock at end of drive -Second bedroom boasting a Super King size bed and views overlooking fields -Third bedroom containing wardrobes for hanging of clothes and space for a travel cot (please ask if required) -1 bathroom with shower over bath -1 bathroom with free standing bath -WiFi and parking included in cost Please note: There is a swimming pool within the grounds of the property but access is restricted to owners only and is not available for use by Grange Cottage guests at this time. We will give guests the space to enjoy their holiday but we are available in person,by phone, text or email to help or assist. Our property is situated in a small hamlet enjoying an elevated position. Affording views of the Trent valley and historical Newark - the castle, civil war trail , palace theatre, air museum, go- karting, river walks and markets. To the south there are views of the historical market town of Southwell which has the Minster cathedral, famous Saracens head hotel, lots of interesting shops, cafes and restaurants, walks - the Southwell trail for biking or walking and has a lovely tea shop along the way. There is also the National Trust workhouse and clock museum in Upton. The garden centre Reg Taylor has a swan sanctuary and lovely tea rooms. Within easy driving distance there are many parks and National trust places such as Clumber park, Belton house, Rufford Park, Thoresby Hall, Belvoir castle, Sherwood Forest, Newstead abbey and Sherwood pines where you can hire bikes, walk or “Go Ape” on the adventure park (Website hidden by Airbnb) Lincoln is only 30 minutes away - home to the Cathedral and steep hill with its quaint shops and also an inland harbour bustling with activity. Doddington hall is worth a visit (Website hidden by Airbnb) For those of you who would like more sporting activities there is the Southwell races, two golf clubs, Southwell leisure centre, tennis courts, local country walks, Rutland water for cycling, walking, fishing, sailing or peaceful bird watching. There is also J and Js alpaca farm and park 20 minutes away where it is possible to interact with alpacas. There is a shop and coffee shop too. White post farm and Wheelgate park are 15 minutes away.
