The Lily Pad: Private Bed and Separate Bath

A sweet, safe home away from home! We've designed this space to be a cozy haven outside of the hustle & bustle of D.C. Modern and contemporary, set to give you the comforts of home, not just make-shift furniture to put a guest in a room. We offer professionals, students, conference attendees, prospective relocators a place to lay your head without the detached feeling of a hotel room. We welcome travelers who need a place to rest during a long road trip. Se habla espanol. Un poco, pero basta. This accommodation is a second floor apartment/entrance. Guests have to use stairs to approach the front door and will be provided a code for keyless entry/access. The guest bedroom has a Queen sized bed, a leather chair and a leaning wood desk for laptop use. One closet has bed linens and space for storage. The kitchen has a juicer, blender, George Foreman grill for small meats, teapots, coffee maker and crock pots. Guests may use refrigerator to store food. There is a microwave and oven for guests to warm food. Preference for no cooking. There is a washer and dryer in the unit. Preference for guests staying for a weekend and beyond to have access to those appliances. There is shared space in the living room with an area for dining. The shared space in the living room has theatre-style seating for two. There is also a wood-burning fireplace. A full dining table, set for four or guests can use the kitchen-facing bar for eating. As the hosts, we will be available on the spot and may use shared space. This community is quiet, family oriented & centrally located between Washington, D.C. and Baltimore, Maryland. Accessible from major traffic veins such as 495, 295 & routes (Phone number hidden by Airbnb) . Close to UMCP, UMBC, local hospitals, military & corporate offices. We are 0.5m from Laurel Lakes, perfect for runners/walkers/animal lovers. There are several restaurants and shopping nearby. There is a new Regal Theater in the Centre. The Market Corridor is a 5-7 minute drive. You can find a Target, Total Wine, Cakes Plus, and more. Whatever you want, Laurel HAS IT! The new Laurel Town Centre is right across the way from the lake. The community is close to bus routes. Although the closest Metro is in Greenbelt, the MARC Camden Line is approximately 2 miles south and has free parking. This home away from home is place where you can park your car with plenty of spaces. There is a small outside patio that is furnished in the spring, summer, and fall months. Half of the guest closet is used for storage. There is ample space for your clothing and luggage.
