The Vianden Cottage - Charming Forest Cottage

"The Vianden Cottage" is not the average Chalet. It is a concrete construction built in 1965 completely renovated in a "country loft" style in 2017 with all modern amenities. The Vianden Cottage Situated just above the town of Vianden is a lovely escape in the forest but not far away from local attractions and only approx. 45 minute drive from Luxembourg City. Come and enjoy a very special experience. Available per night and makes a perfect private, secluded daytime getaway as well. The Vianden Cottage is nestled in the forest with lovely views. It hosts a wood burning fireplace, a modern kitchen and bathroom with all amenities a lovely small balcony to sit and relax as well as a small side garden area with a firepit. A charcoal BBQ is situated on the balcony. The Vianden Cottage is PET FRIENDLY at no additional cost. I ensure that all surfaces and contents of The Cottage are fully cleaned, sanitized and renewed for each guest in strict adherence with Airbnb's ENHANCED CLEANING PROTOCOL prior to each guest's arrival. I am also a professional cook and operate a local catering business. I'm happy to prepare you foods for your convenience during your stay. These are prepared the day prior to your arrival and sealed in food-grade vacuum packs ready for you to easily prepare. This can be "one dish" meals for the oven, sautee dishes for stove top or pre-marinaded food for BBQ. I also specialize in Mexican cuisine. All dishes priced based upon request and the catering service is pending my availability and timing of the booking. Vianden is a vibrant small historical town in the north of Luxembourg settled on the Our River. The village of Vianden dates back to the 3rd century had had considerable presence of both Templar and Trinitairre history, evidence of such exists to this day. The Vianden Castle is one of the largest and most prestegious in Europe. Vianden was also the home of Victor Hugo for a short period, a copy of Rodin's Victor Hugo mask can be seen at the bridge crossing the River Our. The Vianden Stat Parc is located approximately 400 meters from The Cottage where you can descend on the ancient walls of the city and view all of the Village below as well as the Vianden Castle above. The Cottage is situated on the Blue Walking Trail, part of locally over 35 kms of beautiful hiking/mountain biking. The Cottage is accessible just off the main road leading into Vianden, just before the "Welcome to Vianden" Signage. Road parking for 2 cars (1 in front, 1 aside). Includes large screen TV, satellite receiver, Apple TV receiver and 4G Wifi (wireless).
