Inside the shepherds hut there is a wood burner, with kitchen, and comfy double bed, and en suite shower, and toilet, the hut is fully insulated, and so is cosy and warm in the colder weather, now an outdoor kitchen with authentic pizza oven, and charcoal Barbecue We’ll be around to advise on places to visit, restaurants, shops Fire up the hot tub if necessary We will be exercising social distancing rules with a self check in system and contact through text if preferred, otherwise we will be on hand to greet you and show you around Finchingfield the prettiest village in England two miles away with three tea rooms, and three pubs. Saffron Walden ten miles away with lively Market, independent shops, Cafes, and quaint old buildings. Thaxted with its famous Guild hall, beautiful Church Since the Tour de France came through Finchingfield in 2014 , the area has become popular with cyclists, there are lots of small roads ideal for cycling, and many villages have tea shops, or Pubs. We can offer secure undercover storage for bikes at no extra charge A car is a must, but buses do run from Finchingfield Late July/early August harvesting takes place so there is a possibility of noise and dust.
