This cabin was renovated and extended in 2018. The cabin represents a beautiful balance between the past and the present. Customers have been particularly satisfied with the pleasant steam in the sauna and the terrace where you can cool down afterwards, as well as the large storage facilities and beautiful views of both the woods and the lake. The front door opens to a seating terrace with a view of the lake. The natural stone grill invite you to spend the evening in the garden. The cottage has two bedrooms, one with a detachable double bed and the other with one frame mattress bed and a bunk bed for two. The kitchen is well equipped, as is the bathroom. The cozy living room is comfortable to sit in the evening, the corner sofa can accommodate two extra beds. A rowing boat is available for the guests of the cabin, free of charge. Life jackets are included in the price of the cabin. Pets are also welcome, there is a multitude of nice small roads for taking your pets for a walk in the surrounding forests. Outside our primary beach, there are several nice and small bays where pets can also go swimming. Our guests can rent the traditional Finnish lakeside sauna. There is a hot tub at the tip of the point of land where the sauna is located. You can rent it also. Our French Lop rabbits spend the winter in the stables with the sheep where you can go to pet and feed them if you like. The sheep spend the summer in the woods and the rabbits are also outside. They are always happy to come and have a few treats. In our area there are kayaks and sup-boards (with life jackets) for rent. You arrive at the big gate. The port information table has a picture of the area and the phone numbers of the contacts. THIS COTTAGE IS CALLED PEUKALOINEN. You can go straight to the cottage, the keys are at the door. Once you have settled into the cottage, call or text us and we will show you the places and tell you about the area. There is a nature trail in the nearby woods with questions about nature and survival in Finnish, English and Russian along the trail. There is a lean-to with a campfire site and equipment along the nature trail. The guests in our cabins can freely use the lean-to. Further along the nature trail there is our large hut with inside fireplace. We organize also quided hiking tours to many experiential places nearby. We offer full service guided fishing trips on Lake Keitele and other local lakes. The fishing raft (for 12people) can take you to the town if you have errands to run or want to eat out in a restaurant, or you can take part in a canal, swimming or snorkelling tour. The small islands nearby are nice destinations for independent excursions all year round. You can fish also independently. Sheets is not included in the rent. You can use your own or rent from us (10e / person).Please let us know in advance and we will make the beds ready. Final cleaning is also not included in the price. You can clean the cottage yourself to the condition it was on arrival or you can pay for the final cleaning (50e). Pets are welcome but must be reported.
