DUE TO THE COVID CLEANING REGIME, CHECK-IN IS AFTER 4.30PM & CHECK OUT IS BY 10AM AT THE LATEST, TO ALLOW ENOUGH TIME FOR CHANGEOVER. THE ENTIRE APARTMENT WILL BE DEEP CLEANED AND SANITISED BETWEEN EACH GUEST STAY. Backing onto the idyllic green in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, The Old Bakehouse in the Cotswold village of Churchill offers quiet luxury in a tastefully renovated Grade II listed house. This first floor apartment, is self-contained with its own private access. . . Bedroom 1 has a vaulted and beamed ceiling with glass chandeliers and king size bed. The ensuite bathroom has a bath with shower over. The bathroom is equipped with a heated towel rail, cotton bathrobes and complimentary bathing products. Bedroom 2 is the epitome of boutique style with cool classic furnishings and a sleek modern bathroom with a bath and shower over. Cotton bathrobes and complimentary bathing products are provided. Both bedrooms are equipped with an HD TV and hairdryer. The kitchenette/diner/lounge provides a comfortable space to prepare food or relax and watch television. There is a dining table with a bench and two folding chairs, together with a two-seater sofa. The kitchenette is equipped with a sink unit, drawers and under-sink storage, a fridge/freezer, a combination microwave/oven and a two-plate plug-in hob. A toaster, kettle and cafetiere are also provided together with cooking implements, cutlery, glasses and mugs. Guests have their own private entrance to the Old Bakehouse via an indoor staircase from the garden. There is free parking. You have your own private entrance to the Old Bakehouse from the garden. During your stay, one of us will be either in the main house, or close by, socially distant of course! We will always be contactable by phone should the need arise. The village of Churchill is a conservation village set high up in the Cotswold hills with views across the rolling countryside towards Stow-on-the-Wold (6 miles). The village has a frendly pub called 'The Chequers' and there are nearby shops in 'Kingham' (1 mile), Bledington (3 miles), Chipping Norton (2 miles), Chadlington (3 miles) and of course the famous Daylesford organic farm/shop/restaurant/Spa (2 miles). Nearly all the pubs in the area are gastro-pubs, serving excellent food and there is also a good selection of cafés, and restaurants in Chipping Norton. For those keen walkers, the village is intersected by the D'Arcy Dalton Way and there are numerous local walks and well known landmarks nearby such as Chastleton House and The Rollright Stones. There are also plenty of other picturesque walks in the area. Make sure you bring an OS map or download the App. There is also cycle hire located at Kingham railway station or TY Cycles in Chipping Norton (delivery to Corner House easily arranged). If travelling by train, Great Western Rail services are from Paddington via Oxford to Kingham Station, located 2.5 miles from Churchill. There are various local taxi services based in and around the Chipping Norton area, but it is advisable to pre-book these as there is no taxi rank at the station. We have ample, off-road parking behind the property, access to which is via the village hall car park (adjacent to the property). You are welcome to use our garden, weather permitting!
