Allens Cottage, is a stunning Scandi home hidden inside an English cottage surrounded by fields and vineyards in the heart of the Meon Valley. Within walking distance to a gastro pub and excellent village shop. This home in a tranquil location, comprises an open plan kitchen, dining area and two separate living areas. A double and a single bedroom plus shower room downstairs and upstairs are two double bedrooms, one en-suite and a bedroom with two double beds as well as a family bathroom. Allens Cottage is a beautiful, newly refurbished home with an amazing south facing garden. It is extremely bright and light, due to all the large windows and doors. On entry to the house, you will find a large boot room, perfect for muddy boots and plenty of hanging space for coats . A utility is to the left, as well and a separate guest toilet. It has a fully equipped kitchen with fridge/freezer, electric hob, electric oven and dishwasher. A kettle, toaster, NutriBullet and Magimix are also provided along with everything required for the most discerning cooks . A breakfast bar provides seating for two. The utility provides a washing machine and dryer, plus another fridge and freezer as well as an iron and ironing board. Also stored here are additional crockery and glasses. In the dining area, there is a table with seating for 8 persons. There is another table in the living room that can be used to extend the dining table with 4 additional chairs. The living area has bifold doors and French doors opening onto an extensive patio overlooking a large garden and stunning views beyond. It has a wall mounted TV and a L-shaped seating area. There is a central wood burning stove and a second living area for guests to relax, with French doors opening onto the patio. Also downstairs are two bedrooms, one with a king size bed and another with a single bed, ideal for guests who cannot climb stairs. There is a shower room for the use of these two bedrooms. A wooden staircase leads to three further bedrooms upstairs. Here you will find a beautiful master bedroom with an en-suite shower room and king size bed. There is another lovely bedroom with a king size bed and a wall mounted television. A further, amazingly quirky bedroom accessed through a small door with two double beds, completes the bedrooms. This bedroom is suitable for two persons or could be used for 4 children to share. A family bathroom with a wonderful Victorian style bath and amazing shower is provided for the latter two bedrooms. All upstairs rooms have glorious views over both the vineyards and fields to the north and south of the property. Outside there is plenty of car parking space and undercover parking. The property is in the South Downs National Park, with the wonderful South Downs Way passing metres from the front gate, giving access to this amazing walk as well as many other great walks and cycle routes in the area. The highly rated Shoe Inn and its garden with river frontage is a short walk away for excellent meals and refreshments. The Meonstoke Village shop and Post Office is equally close by and is stocked with a wonderful range of goods. Allens Cottage is a half hour from Portsmouth with Nelson's Victory, the Mary Rose and a wide range of amenities including Gunwharf Quays Outlet Mall, Vue Cinemas, the Spinnaker Tower with breathtaking views, Hovercraft and Ferries to the Isle of Wight and a 3 mile beachfront promenade. Also on the Hampshire coast is Hayling Island and nearby beautiful Chichester harbour in West Sussex. Easy drives away are the stately homes of Beaulieu, Broadlands and Hinton Ampner. Also nearby are the historic Cathedral cities of Winchester and Chichester with the magnificent Arundel Castle about an hour away. Also within a short drive is the famous New Forest with all it has to offer. We are also perfectly located for Goodwood and its many social events. We provide a folder full of wonderful ideas and places to visit and explore while you are with us. This is a wonderful location for Family groups and for example, writing, painting and yoga workshops. Strictly no smoking and no pets. A stable yard is near by and horses can be seen in surrounding paddocks.
