African Olive Country Estate is situated within walking distance to the breathtaking Vaal River and conveniently close to Parys Town and all establishments along the Kopjieskraal road and the banks of the Vaal River. The estate boasts 5 Ha of natural Domeland. We may not be positioned next to the mighty Vaal River however we do have the century old Vaal River Canal passing through the estate, offering you as our guest, a peaceful tranquil country atmosphere. The Estate is a working farm. Enjoy the beauty of nature together with the farm animals such as cattle and goats. There are plenty of wild birds too, so bring your binoculars. Accommodation on the Estate comprises of 3 x Luxury Cottages 2 x Studio Apartments and a Annex Unit. A group of 16 can comfortably be accommodated. General Information of things to do Parys is known to be the antique mecca of the Free State boasting 11 antique shops and 8 Art Galleries. Besides all the antique shops not far from African Olive Country Estate the area boasts a new craft beer brewery and restaurant the Dog and Fig. There are also a great variety of decor shops and the famous and personally recommended O's Restaurant located along the Vaal river whilst visiting our picturesque country town do visit our shop Oak Tree Junction, situated at 32 Bree street (Our Main Street through town), where you can find that long last treasure. Not only does Oak Tree Junction, have a large selection of hallmarked silver and Bank notes and coins. The shop also houses fine pieces of collectable art, furniture, toys, like Dinky, corgi and matchbox, Antique clocks and jewellery, porcelain, enamelware, kitchenalia and glassware. Should adventure sports be your thing, Parys has loads to offer. We will gladly assist with your sporting arrangements. There are a number of recommended Restaurants in town where we can also assist with reservations. Own transport is essential. This accommodation is self catering. There is no daily servicing or cleaning of the unit. No smoking allowed however guests are welcome to smoke outside. Due to our proximity to town and a tarred road one must expect a certain amount of noise from vehicles using the road. The premises is covered by 24 hour surveilance which records all outdoor movement.
