The Lodge has been newly renovated, giving 24sqm of self-contained studio style accommodation, with modern fitted kitchen and bathroom facilities. Located on the ever popular Stockbridge High Street with it's host of shops, pubs and restaurants, it also sits in the heart of the Test Valley with endless opportunities for those who love the outdoors. The main living space is divided into two, comprising a vaulted seating area directly accessed via the entrance and a bedroom area to the rear with an adjacent shower room. There is a sofa bed in the living area which can be utilised on request in addition to the double bed if required. There is also a fully fitted separate kitchen. The property is well appointed with great facilities including Wi-Fi and Smart TV. Externally there is a handy covered area, adjacent to the front door, for boots and outdoor clothes as well as a couple of bike racks. There is a private outdoor seating area with table and chairs. The property benefits from it’s own access and parking, although the access is quite narrow there is also plentiful parking nearby. There is self check-in but we are usually around, so if you have any questions about anything, please feel free to ask! Stockbridge is a small town nestling in the heart of the Test Valley and it’s beautiful countryside with great access to the nearby historic cities of Winchester and Salisbury. It is also within striking distance of the New Forest and the South Coast. The bustling high street has a host of independent shops, deli, bakery, coffee shops, pubs and restaurants whilst still retaining the quiet green spaces of The Marsh, Stockbridge Down and surrounding countryside. It would make the perfect base for those wishing to explore the area either on foot or by bike. The Test Way is literally on the doorstep which provides great access to a host of walking opportunities. Stockbridge is a great base for cycling whether it be on or off road and is close to the newly opened King Alfred’s Way. Your host would be happy to help and advise on routes if required. There is fishing on the famous River Test as well as shooting locally. Stockbridge is within easy reach of the M3, A34, A303. Nearest train stations are Winchester or Grateley (15 minutes). The ancient cities of Winchester (8 miles) and Salisbury (14miles) are both within easy reach. The New Forest (15 miles) is also easily accessible as well as the South Coast which is within an hour's travel. As dog lovers ourselves we are happy for you to bring your dog. Due to the nature and layout of the property we feel it is best suited to one dog or possibly two. Please enquire.
