Self contained bijou annexe attached to our home with its own entrance situated in a quiet road in the heart of Lyndhurst Fabulous location to explore the new forest with numerous walks & cycle paths also has Boltons Bench which is a focal point with horses & other animals roaming free Lyndhurst is known as the capital of the The New Forest with unique gift shops pubs tea rooms and a variety of restaurants The annexe is an ideal base and is tucked away yet only five minutes walk into Lyndhurst Our unique private annexe is an ideal base for exploring the new forest. Wether a lone traveller or couples staying for one night or a long weekend our annexe has everything you need to make your stay comfortable & enjoyable as possible. We have a small outside private space which gets the sun in the morning with folding table and chairs. It is an ideal safe space for leaving bikes we also have two wall anchor points for extra security. Please be aware it is snug but more than adequate. We do have cooking facilities ideal for breakfast we supply induction hob, microwave fridge with small freezer, toaster kettle washing machine. We also have a folding space saving indoor table and 2 small folding stools this gives you the option to eat meals inside! All of the annexe and outside private space. We respect your privacy but can be contacted on our mobiles or we are only next door if needed! Always happy to help. At the end of our road is open forest with a lovely 40 minute scenic walk past Lyndhurst golf club which takes you to focal point Bolton’s Bench & Beaulieu Road where ponies, horses & cattle are roaming free. Numerous cycling paths in close proximity. Or if you’re not feeling like a forest walk its only a stones throw from our annexe into the village! If you have a hour to spare The New Forest Heritage Museum in Lyndhurst is worth a visit it’s a interesting way to find out about local history, also has a great gift shop & tea room on site. Being situated in the pretty village of Lyndhurst we are lucky enough to have the best of both worlds. Peace & tranquility with forest walks which will certainly blow the cobwebs away. Or if you prefer to shop Lyndhurst village has a great mix of shops to keep you busy. Then when you’re all shopped out there are plenty of pubs & restaurants where you can sit back and relax with a tipple of choice whilst watching the world go by. The market town of Lymington is only 10 miles from our annexe with its quaint cobbled streets and quay which is also where you can access the ferry to Yarmouth IOW takes 35 minutes. Local beaches such as Mudeford which is great for crabbing Milford on sea and Highcliffe are worth a visit, also Christchurch quay and abbey is beautiful! (Website hidden by Airbnb) We have a hourly bus service into Southampton Brockenhurst & Lymington so you can access train stations Southampton Central, Ashurst New Forest Brockenhurst & Lymington. We also have an amazing bike hire shop in the village. We will give out key code and checking in details once we make contact after booking. Unfortunately there is no parking on the premises, but there is free parking on our road and adjacent roads. Also Lyndhurst main car park is only a 5 minutes walk from our annexe if needed. After 6pm it is free to park charges come into play at 8am. There is limited space in the annexe so you might find it easier bringing a small overnight case/bag when staying at ‘Bit OnThe Side’ it is small but perfectly formed! We have an eco friendly toilet with sink incorporated, this tap only provides cold water, as space is limited there is no stand alone sink in the bathroom. The tap in the kitchen has hot/cold water. We provide a basic breakfast a choice of cereal and some orange juice, along with semi skimmed milk/soya milk, tea’s & coffee’s. The outside space is in close proximity to our neighbours so please be respectful of noise levels, thank you. If you need to turn on/off the shower, extractor fan or electric Towel Rail these switches are in a small grey cupboard in the kitchen area. And lastly we are Covid-19 conscious. In- line with recommendations due to Covid-19 we’ll be taking extra steps to clean and sanitise frequently touched surfaces in between stays.
