The Coachhouse, Rookwood Farmhouse

Situated a mile from the edge of Newbury, the Coach House is a separate building adjacent to the larger Rookwood Farmhouse. It is close to golf courses, the Watermill Theatre and Donnington Castle. Highclere Castle is also nearby, as is Newbury Racecourse and Michelin-star restaurants. There is a shared heated outdoor pool available in summer months and a shared garden. The Coachhouse is best suited for small gatherings and relaxing escapes. It's not suitable for loud parties. A spacious self-contained two bedroom house with conservatory that overlooks a shared heated outdoor swimming pool and extensive gardens. Both the bedrooms rooms are large and bright and have en-suite bathrooms. The larger bedroom has a super-king bed that can become 2 twin beds. A fully equipped kitchen, and separate sitting room with dining room table as well. There is also a working fireplace for those cosy winter nights. Guests are free to use the garden and BBQ too. Off road parking is shared with adjacent Rookwood Farmhouse, and they are a 3 mile taxi ride from Newbury station. We normally have three dogs in the adjacent building, so bringing pets can only be by agreement beforehand and the Coach house is not suitable for guests who strongly dislike dogs. The Pool and BBQ are normally available in the summer months for limited times of day - check beforehand if this is important to you. There is an extra charge for cleaning the BBQ.
