This former Dairy has been lovingly restored into 2 double bedrooms & 2 bathrooms with underfloor heating to create a modern yet cosy, rustic farmhouse cottage. The bathrooms are hotel standard with fluffy towels & water pressure worthy of a spa. Big comfy sofas invitingly await after long country walks or provide the perfect place to collapse for exhausted post-party feet. Amenities such as a Nespresso machine & a welcome basket of goodies will ensure you experience some true R&R. The master bedroom, with king size bed, has an en-suite bathroom with both a bath & a shower. The 2nd cosier bedroom, has a queen size double bed, and uses the large downstairs shower room. There is a fully equipped kitchen with a large Rangemaster oven, huge American-style fridge freezer & a generous breakfast bar to perch at whilst you drink your coffee. Details such as sockets under the bar for charging iPhones & laptops whilst you catch up on admin make this an incredibly practical space. Coat hooks with a bench by the main door create a place to leave wellies ensuring all the small details have been thought of. The sitting room area has two big comfy sofas plus a “chubby” chair perfect for relaxing pre or post party from the nearby Wellington Barn or after exploring the local countryside. The Dairy is at the end of a no-through lane in an incredibly peaceful & tranquil setting surrounded by National Trust & farmland. You will have the entire barn to yourself. We live in the main house right next door to The Dairy so if you need any help, we'll be able to assist. Equally we know when to back off & leave you to enjoy your stay! Calstone is a stunning "no through" village with the most sublime walks up onto the Calstone & Cherill Downs which can be reached without setting foot on a public road from The Dairy. Surrounded by National Trust land, The Cherill White Horse (the 3rd oldest of the chalk white horses in Great Britain) along with The Lansdowne Monument are significant features of the area. We are just a few minutes drive from The Wellington Barn so make an incredibly convenient stay whilst attending events there or The Dairy makes a perfect pre-wedding venue for brides to get ready for their special day & return to as a married couple. The historic Avebury stones & Silbury Hill are just a 15 minute drive away & the pretty market town of Marlborough is less than 20 minute drive so The Dairy could be a perfect residence whilst attending Marlborough Summer School. St Mary's Calne is 10 minutes away by car so a great place to stay for prospective parents & those attending school events such as The Leavers' Ball. You will need your own car as this is unspoilt rural British countryside at its best. We do have plenty of parking space. There is a wonderfully generous terrace that wraps around the building creating a fantastic space to sit & enjoy the sun & views across to the Cherill Downs. There is a 4 seater dining table & Weber bbq perfect for the summer months. The meadow that stretches down in front of The Dairy frequently receives visits from friendly pheasants & Roe deer who often venture out of the woods. There is plenty of easily accessible parking in front of The Dairy making unloading luggage an easy task.
