Amsterdam is only about 33 km from the beautiful holiday home and can be reached quickly from Hoorn with a short train ride of about 35 minutes. The area around Hoorn offers many cycling and walking routes that run right through the vast polder landscape. They lead the visitor over small inner dikes and past old villages or over the Omringdijk, the dike that once protected the country from the sea.
