A marvellous, secluded, real family home with a relaxed and friendly atmosphere set in the countryside. Steeped in history, dating back to the 13th Century, with some walls as thick as three feet! The perfect exclusive getaway for families and couples looking for a place to relax, unwind and enjoy time together, while still having their own privacy. Set back from the road, the property provides excellent facilities for all the family, with plenty of room to spread out! Guests will enjoy the privacy of your own exclusive entrance and huge lounge, complete with enormous sofa's, it is truly inviting making it a lovely sociable area, where you can linger watching a film on the large screen. Feel free to cosy up in front of the wood burning stove and enjoy roasting some s'mores. Once you're ready to say goodnight, climb the sweeping staircase to your comfy bedroom. Be sure to wander around the gardens, which we warmly encourage our guests to use as much as they like and are surrounded by some impressive trees topping 50ft! Stop off to feed the chickens, say 'hello' to our resident goats called Hepsi & ?, undoubtedly our flock of sheep will take an interest too. If you're very lucky, you just might see one of the vintage steam trains go past, or why not hop on board! Guests and pets will enjoy the endless walks in the immediate locality. Why not take a stroll through the cornfields, head through the woodlands and try out our local pub (The Rose & Crown), then follow the lane back down the hill to our door. Or the rolling hills of the North Downs are just a few miles away. A stones throw from the historic cathedral city of Canterbury, the East Kent coast, and the Channel Tunnel. The guest accommodation comprises a double bedroom within the main house. The master bedroom has a king-size bed, double wardrobe and dresser (plus additional mattress/cot available if required) for additional guests or children). No extra charge for children under 5. Sole use of the large guest bathroom which is just across the corridor. Guests may also make use of the hall, dining room and tea and coffee facilities. A Full English breakfast is available, served in the panelled dining room with open fireplace, or, weather permitting, enjoy it in the gardens. We love meeting new people, so feel free to spend as much time enjoying the surroundings in our home as you please. We will be nearby and available to help if needed, just call or text. We are happy to chat if you want more local information or you can have no interaction at all if you prefer a totally private escape. Plenty of local walking trails. There is a trainstation at the next village and a daily bus service. Bikes can be made available with prior request. We have a selection of bicycles (some old, some new) you may use to explore the local area, plus walking and cycling maps to help you explore the countryside. There is a local shop in the village and a larger store in the next village.
