Garden Studio in Biggar

This stylish garden studio is only a few minutes walk from Biggar town centre and the open countryside. The studio is self catering with a continental breakfast hamper supplied. This tranquil studio is an ideal base for two people when exploring the area, attending weddings, local events, a base for work or simply just looking for a lovely place to relax. The studio has it's own small garden and patio area, is well equipped with a table and chairs, chiminea, BBQ, and private drive way parking. The studio has been recently converted from the outbuildings of what was formerly a Victorian Hotel and sits in part of the garden. Guests can park close to the studio in the driveway of the main house. Large windows flood the studio with lots of natural light, this makes it a lovely relaxing place to spend time. There is a spacious living/sleeping area, with a double bed, sofa which is also converts into a sofa bed (small double) is suitable for eitherone adult or two children. There is also a dining table and three chairs, Smart TV with Netflix, Wi-Fi (super fast broadband), infrared electric heating, and USB charger sockets. You will also find two white dressing robes, a hairdryer, iron, ironing board and a selection of board games and croquet. The studio has an outside tap handy for muddy boots or bikes and a washing line to dry clothes if required. The studio has been fitted with a new shower room with a walk-in shower, sink and toilet, and electric heated towel rail. There is a small kitchen area with is compact but well stocked with everything you need. The kitchen has a garden view is equipped with a sink, mini oven with grill, two hobs and a rotisserie function. There is also a microwave, fridge with ice compartment, slow cooker, Nespresso coffee machine with pods, kettle and toaster. You will receive a continental breakfast hamper on arrival. A selection of teas and coffee are also provided. Outside the studio there is a patio and garden area for your use to relax and enjoy your stay, this looks on to a large garden with trees and shrubs and a small play/ summer house an outdoor dining table and chairs with a fire pit. The patio area and garden around the studio is for guests. You will also be able to enjoy the larger garden area which is shared with your host. The host lives in the main house. The studio is self contained and sits behind the house in a garden setting. There is a self check-in system for guests who will be able be check-in any time that suits them from 2pm onwards. The studio key can be collected on your arrival from the key box. You will be sent a code for the key box before your visit. Your host will either be on hand if you need anything or contactable by phone and happy to help with any queries. The studio is situated in a lovely neighbourhood only a five minute walk to the town centre. You are also only a two minute walk from open fields and beautiful countryside. Biggar is a lovely market town which is situated in the Southern Uplands near the River Clyde. We are 30 minutes by car from Peebles. Edinburgh and Glasgow are easily accessible by car, bus (5 min walk) or train from Carstairs (11 miles). Biggar has much to offer with a good selection of independent award winning boutiques and shops, you will also find a selection of restaurants, pubs, takeaways and specialist food shops. The town has parks, a museum and golf course as well as beautiful countryside for hill walking. Biggar holds a number of events throughout the year including the famous Biggar Hogmanay bonfire in the town centre only a short walk from the studio. Two public 7 KW electric charging points can be found in the centre of town, just a short walk from the studio. At Abington Services at J13 of the M74, a 15 minute drive from the studio, there are Tesla super chargers and public fast chargers for electric vehicles.
