Romance in secluded place.....whole property for sole use of the renters
The house is secluded, not far from the village Rim where it actually belongs. It was built in 1886 but has been recently redecorated with special love and care and is surrounded by green lawns, an orchard and a forest. Primarily it was meant to be a family house for a family with 2-3 children. During the renovation and decoration, there was one guiding principle above all: the family has to be comfortable and relaxed in the house. Both grown-ups and children have to find something that will calm them down, relax and inspire. That is exactly why only exclusively natural and ecology friendly materials were used for the reconstruction of the house. There are wood floors throughout the house except in the kitchen and in the bathroom. The walls are mortared in the old fashioned way so the irregularity and warm colours of the walls remind us of our ancestors’ calm life. Thick stone walls and the air conditioning will assure the freshness in the whole house even in the hottest summer days. Additional information: If you come in spring (end of March or in April) we will be glad if you are interested to join us in the picking up of asparagus, wild asparagus being an extremely healthy self-grown plant full of iron. We would even show you how to prepare it. You can use bicycles and discover the cycling paths of Istria, you can visit the 'vine roads'. You can walk or hike and ride. Those who are tired of the teeming streets will become reinforced by this return to the nature. The adventure enthusiasts have a wide choice of extreme sports - it can be trekking, free climbing, flying (paragliding), speleology or mountain cycling. All these possibilities are available within ten kilometres from the house. If you do not fancy any of these things you can just go and enjoy the natural beauty of Istria. You can visit Zarecje, the Sopot waterfall, Kotli, Hum, Raspadalica, Žbevnica or any of the other historical little towns. Leisure time: If you get tired, you can visit an Istrian tavern and enjoy the food there. Leisure time: If you want to learn how to prepare an autochthonous dish (minestrone, real homemade bread or sweet, crusty biscuits) your hosts will gladly show you how.
