The "Upper Styx" is a first floor apartment overlooking Peveril Castle, perfect for a short break or week away. It has a double en-suite bedroom, Lounge with Freeview TV, separate bathroom, kitchen/diner with oven/hob, fridge, microwave, tea and coffee-making facilities. If you're looking to go away with friends you may also wish to book the day-beds or checkout the Lower Styx listing. Unfortunately the proximity of two suites means they are only suitable for children when booked together. Haddock hideaway is situated in the heart of Castleton. It offers self catering accommodation with privacy within the characterful and sometimes creaky old grade two listed building. However, we are on hand should you need any help or advice. Even though the apartment includes a kitchen/diner its worth mentioning we are only a few minutes walk from a local bakery and store which serves breakfast rolls and pastries or there are plenty of pubs and cafes all within walking distance. We are now able to offer a late check out, up to 1pm for £15 (booked in advance/subject to availability). Maybe this is because it has everything the visitor might want - picturesque scenery, a ruined Norman castle, show-caves, interesting geology, good walks and a pretty village. However, it also has a lot of tourists, even in winter, and on summer weekends you must be prepared to jostle with the crowds!
