A beautiful country house located in an idyllic village that is close to the historic university town of Cambridge and close to two train stations with direct links to London (34 mins). The house features a large family kitchen, lounge and dinning room with Log Burners, children's play room and 5 well presented bedrooms. The house is set within impressive grounds featuring a heated outdoor swimming pool (in season) and large secluded gardens. Strictly no parties. Please respect the neighbours. This is a beautifully renovated, 300 year old house with many unique features. The property is set within large grounds with cart-lodge parking for 2 cars plus additional space for several more cars. Outside there is a heated outdoor swimming pool, a large terrace area with an outdoor sofa, BBQ and a grape vine covered pergola, perfect for outdoor entertaining. You'll have access to the whole house so please do enjoy. The whole house is available for your use. I'll be available via phone or email for any questions regarding your stay. Great Chishill is a stunning countryside village that boasts a delightful country pub which serves excellent food. There are also several other pubs in the surrounding villages which are all walk able through the magnificent countryside. Cambridge is only a short drive away whilst even closer are the pretty market towns of Saffron Walden and Royston. London and Stansted airport are easily accessible via trains from either Audley End or Royston or via road down the A1 or M11. Only a short drive away is the English Heritage 17th century Audley End house and gardens which hosts many fascinating events. We would prefer week long bookings in the school holidays but are flexible. 2 night min stay at weekends - it’s the perfect house for a country weekend getaway! Mid week bookings for less than 4 nights may be declined as it is a family home so causes some disruption.
