Perfect for get-togethers, our beautiful Surrey Hills house is a great base to explore the UK. Only 45 mins from Gatwick or Heathrow. It's an easy journey to London, as well as many seaside towns on the South Coast. Close enough for day trips to Stratford-upon-Avon or Stonehenge. There is so much to do at the house, you may find you don't want to go out! You’ll love the swimming pool, tennis court, games room, fire pit, stunning surroundings and comfortable furnishings. Former home of the Formula One racing driver Peter Westbury, the property is set by itself on the side of Holmbury Hill, surrounded by beautiful woodland. It is a short walk from the back garden to the top of the hill with spectacular far-reaching views down to the South coast. There are a number of country pubs also within a short woodland walk The Surrey Hills is uniquely set within unspoilt woodland and hill areas, but also within a short distance to London and the South coast. The closest beach is within a 50 minute drive As well as the swimming pool and tennis court, the garden has many wonderful different areas to explore, including lawns, terraced areas, wild woodland, and areas left to self-seed to encourage wild flowers, wildlife, insects and biodiversity. (We never use weedkiller or pesticides for the same reason) The whole property is yours to use and explore, with the exception of a small flat above the garage where we have a long-term, very nice, tenant who has two children visiting at times. The tenant is very considerate and private, and respectful of your privacy. They do not use the grounds, only shared access on the driveway I love to meet and greet guests and show you around the property. This ensures you get the most out of your stay. If for any reason this is impossible, someone else will meet with you in person The village and Surrey Hills area are very peaceful and beautiful and unspoilt. There are many places wonderful place to visit nearby You will need a car, mountain bikes are also a good idea as it's a great area to explore in this way Two of the single beds are 2'6" beds rather than standard 3' singles. We love dogs and allow well-behaved dogs to stay, but please do get in touch to discuss. We provide you with a gift tray on arrival, along with a complimentary daily newspaper.
