Landgoed de Barendonk is situated in the rich natural landscape between the villages of Beers and Mill. The estate is surrounded by woods and water and is bursting with history. What characterises our area is the variety of woods, streams, meadows, pools, orchards and fields. You can completely relax in the Land van Cuijk area: discover the beauty of the scenic bocage landscape, grazing cows, rabbits in the woods and Holstein cows out to pasture. Around the estate lie the villages of Beers, Mill, and the towns of Cuijk and Grave. Cuijk is historically particularly interesting: it was one of the first Roman settlements in the Netherlands. Cuijk also has a nice shopping centre, the attractive Martinus Church and the Ceuclum Roman Museum. At Cuijk you can easily take the ferry across the Maas for a walk on the Mooker Heath in Limburg. Cycle through the villages in the Land van Cuijk area Our guests are often surprised by the number of opportunities to cycle and walk in the area. From the Barendonk you can immediately join cycle and walking routes through the most diverse landscape in the Netherlands. From wooded landscapes to hospitable Cuijk and the fortified town of Grave. For a small amount (€7,50), you can rent bicycles for both adults and children.
