Oakleigh Grange Farm Barn

Part of a converted barn, situated down a country lane in a rural location. A cosy and comfortable cottage on a working farm. The barn has a spacious open plan living area with oak flooring, a wood burner and large comfortable sofas. Sleeps 4 in a King with an unusual mezzanine bedroom with a balcony overlooking the living room and this room leads through to a Twin room. Well-appointed kitchen with dishwasher, microwave, oven and washing machine. Downstairs shower room with heated towel rail. The Barn is beautifully furnished and presented and our guests love the homely but spacious feel inside. It’s a home away from home with a log burner and comfy sofas to relax and unwind. Children love to see the horses and farm animals and we are happy to show you around. At certain times of the year we have some young calves, piglets and maybe even chicks that they can see. We live on the farm opposite Farm Barn so we are happy to help with any queries during your stay and can also take you on a tour to see the farm animals if desired. We are located on the Norfolk/Suffolk border in a rural location. From here it’s approx 45 min drive to Southwold on the Suffolk coast or Great Yarmouth on the Norfolk Coast or alternatively a similar distance up to the Norfolk Broads. There are also plenty of wildlife and farm parks to visit locally or simply explore the area on foot or by bike. We always have some tourist brochures available in the cottage if you need some ideas of places to visit during your stay. We are located down a quiet country lane. Approximately 10 miles from the nearest large town or city so a car is a must. There is parking directly outside the Barn. The local villages are only a 10 minute drive away and there are some lovely country pubs to explore too. You may also enjoy a bike ride around the quiet lanes or exploring the area from the end of the drive on foot. There is also Wi-fi in the property which we have upgraded this year so it is now a decent speed and much better than the basic BT broadband we used to have to put up with!! Mobile phone reception is not great, however you can use Wi Fi calling inside the property on mobiles if you have this feature and most networks have service outside the cottage. The bedrooms are linked through an archway with a curtain separating the sleeping areas so ideally suited to families with children.
