This modern barn conversion is situated opposite the Oast House and within beautiful secluded 2.5 acre gardens. The property is self contained offering privacy and yet within a friendly family atmosphere, where the owners are close at hand to provide advice on local attractions. The location is beautiful whether you wish to admire the gardens, sit outside and read a book or enjoy a wonderful selection of country walks including a 20 minute walk to the historic village of Headcorn. The Snug is a small converted barn which provides modern studio accommodation with double bed, sitting area, adjoining kitchen space and separate bathroom. TV and WiFi are provided together with an adjacent parking space. The hosts Matt and Liz and their family live in the Oast House opposite the Snug and adjacent to the Oat is The Cottage where Barry and Mavis live. Barry looks after the garden and both are always on hand to provide help and advice to guests. The historic village of Headcorn is within 20 minutes walk and has excellent amenities including shops, coffees shops, two pubs, village hall, farmers market and much more. There are many places to visit nearby such as Leeds Castle, Bodium Castle, the famous Sissinghurst Gardens, Bedgebury Pinetum and Bewl Water. Enjoy a wonderful selection of country walks. The attractive Wealden towns of Cranbrook and Tenterden are within 15-20 mins drive, offering excellent restaurants, shops, museums, light railway and leisure centres. Three local vinyards are close at hand. For golfers there are 4 courses all within 10 mins drive. Light aircraft enthusiasts can enjoy Headcorn airfield offering museums, displays, parachuting etc. Ideal for trips to France with Dover and the Channel Tunnel within easy reach. The main line train station in Headcorn provides a fast service to London for those wishing to see the sights and take in a show. There are too many walking routes to list, but the hosts provide a cabin with maps and recommended walks. The village has a bus service and main line railway station to London, Ashford, Canterbury and the coast. There is also a local taxi company based in the village.
