Grönland - The Farm Cottage

We offer accommodation for those that would like to spend some quality time in the countryside. The small cottage is completely self contained; with extensive kitchen, bathroom (with washing machine), dining area, sitting/TV area, and two sleeping rooms upstairs. The house could sleep up to 8 people; with one room with a double bed, the second sleeping area with one double and two single beds, and downstairs the sofa will convert into another double bed. Food for a self-prepared breakfast can be a ordered for an extra 50 SKr per person and will be left in the fridge (including free-range eggs from the farm). The basic price is for a couple or family of four; extra adults (over the age of 16 years) will be charged 100 SKr per night. The cottage is just opposite the main house and has access to a large shared garden where guests are free to sit. The property is a small farm with chickens, a small vegetable garden, lots of cats and a dog. Guests are welcome to bring their pets; and there is an enclosed small garden adjacent to the house where dogs can run safely. The local countryside is ideal for walking and bird watching. From behind the house one can walk for many miles through forest trails, including the 'Skåneleden'. Many interesting nature reserves and bird sanctuaries are a short drive away, including the world famous 'Falsterbo' migration station at the southern tip of Sweden. Please ask us about what to do in the local area and we will be happy to help with advice (the owner is also a keen ornithologist and can advise about local bird watching opportunities). We are quite isolated in the countryside - there is a bus that stops on the main road - but it does not run very often. The easiest way to reach us is by car - the nearest village is Veberöd. If you are driving from there take the 102 south towards Skurup; about 4 km out of town - after a steep hill - there are three flag posts on the RHS of the road. About 500m after this there is a 80km/hr sign, after 500m there is a white sign on the LHS of the road saying Gårdbutik and Hundpension - here you turn Right and we are another 500m down this gravel road. Just before you reach the house there are parking spaces on the right.
